Need smaller size 2100's
I have the Apex 2100 3s lipos in my XL. I'm putting a hughes 500E body on it and the batteries just won't fit inside the body. They are about 4" long now and I need something about 2 1/2"-3" long to fit inside. My tp 1320mah packs are the perfect size but I need the 2100mah to get 8-10 min flites....

i got 2 EP2200's that are about that size. if your setup is low current then it will probably work very well.

these were meant to fit inside a shogun frame.

dimensions are 2.5" x 1.6" x 1.1"

not high discharge by today's standards. i can fly 10-15minutes easily on my low current trex setup with them though. cheap price.

youre flying scale so i take it no 3d it will probably work well.

the approx dimensions they give are off. mine are accurate.

Yes I run an 11T pinion and so there is no big current draw. I will be doing scale flying with this heli, I have an SE for banging around with If I every get the desire. I wonder if I could piggy back 2 packs to get longer flites??Tom..... No "D" flying....

you could most definitely run two of those smaller packs in parallel. it would split the amperage demands between the two packs too.

That is what I thought, But they are about 3/4" to long to go in sideways... Maybe it's just the apex batteries but they just won't go....Tom..... No "D" flying....

parallel is plus to plus, and minus to minus. it increases the capacity of the pack while maintaining the same voltage. it also halves the demand of a single pack and distributes the loads evenly across the two packs. this is all assuming you have identical packs and that they are in the same condition.

Thanks Pru that is what I was looking for, I'm going to order batteries today I hope, but I have plenty to do before the body is on the heli. I have to make a longer tail servo rod and relocate the servo inside the frame etc.Tom..... No "D" flying....
