Hey guys. I've been trying to set up my radio to my T-Rex and I can't seem to get the mixing right. I've been reading the radio manual, but to no avail. When I give left stick up input, all three servos move in the right direction. But it's when I give elevator input and I think pitch, something isn't mixed right. A friend of a friend is going to set up the radio for me, but maybe not until next weekend!! I'm tryin to get the bird in the air.

Ok, I'll try my best to describe the problem. This is how I'll describe the servos and how they are moving when stick input is given.

Servos:
Top left front
Back left rear
Bottom right front

Servo movements when input is given:

Left stick up - all servos move up

Left stick left and right (yaw) - tail servo moves

Right stick up - Top left front moves down, Bottom right front
moves up, Back left rear moves down

Right stick down - Top left front moves up, Bottom right front
moves down, Back left rear moves up

Right stick right - Top left front moves down, Back left rear moves
up, Bottom right front doesn't move

Left stick left - Top left front moves up, Back left rear moves down, Bottom right front doesn't move

OK just sounds like things are reversed and what not.

Ready here we go

I am assuming this is a Trex Se

Front left servo make sure that is in ethier ailiron or pitch(aux 1).
Front right servo, if the front left servo is in the ailerion position put it in the pitch position on the reciever. If the front left servo is in the pitch position put the front right servo in the ailerion position. Now for the back servo, plug that into elevator. With this all set now we can adjust.

Make sure the swash setting in the radio is 3 servos 120 degrees.

Next go to your swash menu in the radio and make sure that the % are all at 60.

Now-

With the left stick up all three servos should be going up. If not then figure out wich servo is going opposite and then bring the % in the swash menu to a -60. And that should reverse the servo to go the right way.

Do that and then report back

chopperman1: Yes, I do have a T-Rex 450SE

Servo movements when input is given:

Left stick up - all servos move up

Left stick left and right (yaw) - tail servo moves

Right stick up - Top left front moves down, Bottom right front
moves down, Back left rear moves up

Right stick down - Top left front moves up, Bottom right front
moves up, Back left rear moves down

Right stick right - Top left front moves up, Back left rear doesn't move, Bottom right front moves down

Left stick left - Top left front moves down, Back left rear doesn't move , Bottom right front moves up

Ok....thanks to you chopperman1, I think all is well. Servos that didnt move before and servos that did move before now move. When input is given, it appears to me that the servos are moving that way they should. Atleast I had a FEW things set right! lol I had the swash setting correct.

I checked and then I had to change 3 servo channel locations, changed % values to -60 on all servos (pitch, elev, aile), and finally I tested and all seems well!! Thanks bro! Does it all sound right to you? If not, please say where each servo goes. Either channel # or aux1, elev, aile, etc....
