Today my stuuupid dog knocked my Trex off of the stand onto the concrete floor. Bent main shaft, one bad main shaft bearing, feathing shaft bent. Can you believe that??? What a crock. I swear I wanted to shoot the dog. I'm sure my neighbors heard my ranting and raving.

Usually, the dog can't get in there but he decided he needed to get out. Don't ask me how.

It would have been more gratifying to at least have another nice crash under my belt. Oh well, chalk one crash up to a German Shepherd

even not doing anything would have been better than nothing...

Hey, don't feel bad, I stayed up till 4am painting a canopy last night, and crashed it this afternoon. We're in the same boat. Both you and I could have prevented it, but for one reason or another, we didn't
Sh*t happens. Fix it up and get back on the horse asap

P.s. Don't blame the dog, he just saw you flying and wanted to try too

Truly, I love my dog, but I have never been so mad at him. That must mean I love my TRex too. He never has liked the Trex, hmm, I wonder if this was an assasination attempt?

Casey, sorry to hear about the canopy. That really blows. I was toying w/the idea of buying one of the $64 painted canopies but quickly dismissed the idea after my last crash.

I do have the Rex going again. Got through a pack tonight before it got dark. Life is good again...

even not doing anything would have been better than nothing...

That's funny!
If you thing that is bad, I have one for you. I got my T-rex in July and I love it so much I take it with me everything. Go out and fly it for lunch, fly it on the way home sometimes, etc. Well one day a couple of months ago I went to this field on my lunch hour and there were several teenage girls there. A bunch under the tree and 3 walking in the field. I plugged in the battery and off I went.

The girls under the tree didn't blink much but the ones in the field started running around chasing it as I flew around the field while laughing and screaming girl excitement. I did some aerobatics and such at different ends while they ran around following. At one point I decided to "pass in review" so they can check it out (obviously they were loving it I thought) so I bring it down to about 8 feet high and I'm flying directly towards me and by the girls. Well, when I got close one of the girls ran up to it and hit it (yes, hit it) with a newspaper that she had in her hand and knocked it right out of the sky. What?! Caught me by surprise -- never thought she would do anything like that. All of a sudden I noticed she is walking away holding her hand. Damn! So I run over there and ask to see her hand, and, thankfully she's got a bruise line where the blade whacked her but no cuts. I asked if she was OK and she said yes and that she was sorry. One of the other girls came up to her and scolded her saying "you broke it!". Guess she wasn't happy with her, but I was at least thankful she didn't really get hurt bad.

Back to the little T-rex, she did a number on it. Broke the blades (woodies), bent the boom, shaft, gear stripped, feathering shaft, canopy damage, bent tail rotor output shaft, and stripped servos. I think that thing took me like 4 hours to fix...forever!!

So, don't know which is worse...your dog knocking it off the table or a girl whacking your heli out of the sky with a newspaper like she's swatting a fly or something!

LMAO Death by newspaper, now that is a new one! I can't believe she actually did that. What was she thinking? Well I guess it is a good thing for her you weren't flying a 600 or a Logo, she would've had a lot more than a bruise.

I used to let little kids chase my Blade CX around, figured it wouldn't hurt them even if it did hit them. After a while of doing this I quit because I actually thought that if one ever caught it they would bat it right out of the sky. I suppose they could probably be hurt if they were hit just right.

I used to not have the proper amount of respect for my Trex, hovering a foot or two away from me and such. After seeing the guy get hit in the head by a Raptor I decided to keep a respectable distance between me and the heli.

I guess the girl will have a healthy respect for RC Helis now. Sorry about your Rex though, and her arm too

That was a funny story indeed. Thanks for sharing. I feel better now.

even not doing anything would have been better than nothing...
