O.K. today at the field I spotted a new and VERY hot and smooth metal head was on a Raptor 50…….it’s an ALIGN 600 complete head, something to look in to. According
to the owner, no mods were necessary, and are very reasonably priced !

Dimmit..I can stop this anytime I want..no..really I can

Just looked at this head and although it looks kinda nice, it doesn't seem to look as good as the Kasama head set..

AND it still hails back to the single jesus bolt holding it onto the main shaft. One of the biggest benefits of the Kasama head is that it has the jesus bolt plus 2 clamping bolts to secure the head. The clamping bolts will vastly reduce any wear and play developing between the head and main shaft as suffered by the other heads on the market. The Kasama head aalso has a deeper swash base to reduce wear and then you have to take into account the extra pitch range afforded by the Kasama head.

I'll stick with the Kasama me thinks.

Me too, just got my Kasama built this weekend, and wow is it impressive. VERY well designed head. If it flies as good as it looks, I'll be impressed! I'm sure I'll be impressed...

The Kasama is top quality all the way. I have had lots of Align products and have not been that impressed with the quality or design. They are nice but not quite as good as some others on the market.

If they have the same performance boost as Kasama at a significantly lower price then they might be worth looking at. What is the price for the complete head and washout unit?

First flights with my new Kasama head yesterday. Got the pitch range sorted now (+/-13) 8 cyclic and i'm mighty impressed. With the same carbon extreme dampers i was using in my Quick UK head this thing is so solid and precise and quick! Autos are so good, plenty of hang at the end, did 4 rolling autos in a row and even a couple of flip out autos.

Some of my fellow fliers were a bit dubious about the new head till they saw it fly, now they all want one.

Anybody tried the grips with the TT metal hub?
Thats means full TT bling, just align grips.
Isit a direct fit? im worried about geometry.

Thanx!

Yes its an Align trex 600 head. Yes it fits with little modification. Yes it flies smoother and more accurate than the original head.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The guy that is saying that is probably right about been more accurate. Tell you why I had the Kasama head and it flew much better than the QUK head plus the three bolts was a plus then I bought the G-FORCE head block only for my 90 and straight off it had a more accurate feel I was so impressed, but I wondered why,,it uses three O ringd with no pin in the middle so I went ahead and sold my Kasama head block only and kept the rest of the head I got the same thing
more accurate feel.

This is what I think the problem is the pin in the middle of the block may cause the spindle to teether and my nend on hard three d flying causing the blades to go out of track but if you have O rings the spindle is allways straight, just my thought the Align does not have a pin in the middle and that could be the reason why it feels more accurate but I don't like under slung so I would reccomend the G- FORE if you want more accuracy

You could have taken out the pin on your Kasama head and run Infinivation dampners. You would have had the best of both worlds then. And the option to go back If you wanted.
