OK, so modern computer radios can hold 10 to 30 (or more?) model configurations. Is there reason to have more than one transmitter? Perhaps a second as backup, but more than that???

an old 4ch airtronics--my first TX for a plank from the mid 80s. i actually still use it.

a 6ch non-computer futaba for a couple of planks. i havent flown either of those planks since i got into helis. but, they are both still set up on it. if i ever do get the urge to fly them, i'll move them over to the 9303.

a XP9303 for everything else. still have 20 some odd blank spots on it.

but, i really would like to get the new DX7 so i don't have to deal with freqs.

oh, and 2 pistol TXs for the vertically challenged.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I've got a 14mz, jr 8103, and a dx6. I use the 8103 when I don't or can't use the 14mz, and the dx6 for small stuff.

Rhett..... I can't fly, but the Profi sure can.

Two here: 9CHP and 8U.

The 8U is used on my XTR sim and also as a slave for buddy box flying.

I had about ten. Sold most of them at the Perry Show last year. I now have a trainer (no crystal) four channel for planes a Futaba 9CAP a Futaba 9CHP and a Futuba 8U heli radio which sooner or later I'll list on E-bay to sell because I dont need it any longer. Good radio for a beginner to start with. I tried to get down to just the two 9C's which I use now. Makes life easisr now both radio's. Have the switchable TX so I can keep different channels also.

Just one - RD8000. Going to replace it with either a Stylus or 9303.

I do have some old mechanical radio's for plane's, but they don't count

9Z WCII 72Mhz for Helis, Planks and Gliders.
DX6 2.4Ghz for Scale Yacht and Sailboat.

The 9Z will get 2.4Ghz as soon as possible then I can use it for surface use also.

The 2 transmitters I use are both 9Cs. One for the sim/backup and one for the field. Got an assortment of others that aren't used.

Just my 9ZWC and an old Futaba 4ch buddy box. However, I do want another to have as a backup. The antenna broke on my 9Z a few months ago, and I was down for a few days while it was ordered. If I had a spare, I'd be up and running.
