Seems like TG is probably no longer in business, and in talking to Min Air, they are all out of SAB's for the next several months. Any ideas on where to get 830 to 850 size blades for under $200? MA's price is good, but they don't have any.

I like the V blades 810's. They are fairly heavy, stiff, and black in color. Ran them on a Bergen and on the Predator. I prefer black blades for visibilty. Currently setting up a heli with Vario 422's, (800mm) they are similar in chord width as the Vblades, I cannot comment on flight charicteristics as I haven't used them yet.

Another consideration is the Rotortech 830's (Century Heli product). I have had their 700's and will say that their fit and finish as well as balance was good, their 830's I have never seen though.

C130 what kind of heli do you run nowadays?

Well, still running the Raptor 50 Hyper, but also running a Bergen Intrepid EB G26, and a Vario/Airst*r gasser.

Thanks for the post. I logged on to Century and didn't seem to find the blades you're talking about... is that where you got them?

Long Blade Leads
Besides Century/Heli-world, there are SAB blades. I have an old set that were sold to me as 830's. I haven't measured them, but the workmanship is great.

SAB presently lists an 810 in current production.

MinAir seems to import SAB:

[url=http://www.miniatureaircraftusa.com/Store/products.asp?cat=29]

the by-line indicates lengths from 710-950 mm (the $190 price must be for the 710's. I can only guess what 950's would cost)

Try to follow what the Vario guys use. Their line of gassers must get into some real long stuff.

If you are flying 850's, what size tail blades you looking for? Going much above 120mm has been hard for me to find.

I have 140's (barn doors) to go with the 830 blades.

I called min air and I guess they're out of the big blades for maybe up to 3 months!

As far as tail blades go, I really don't think you need to go that big, heck, Im running 105's with the 840's I had.

If your wanting 830mm blades for under $200.00, then the rotortechs are NOT in your price range. 830mm Semi-sym =$300.00
They are great!

These would be what you want. I have no idea how they fly though.

NHP 800mm sym blades=$140.00
