Hey all.
So recently i'v noticed and intresting trend in my sleeping patterns...
I used to sleep 6-7 hours a day, but lately i'v been clocking up a consistant 11'ish with a couple of 12/13 hour stints...
I'v been getting to sleep a little later than i used to (1-3am) but asside that nothings changed...
I do a fair amount of skating in the evenings and have done for about 5 years... i dont really think this could be a cause.

So does anyone know just why in heck i'd be sleeping almost twice as much for no apparent reason...
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Slacker?!
I spend a lot of my day infront of this laptop (blatently not on RR half the time *grins*) Jog every morning and either skate/jog at night
Eat well, never had a problem with sleeping so much lol...
Okay yes, at the moment i'm not "Employed" as such asside skating for a DVD but really dont want to go back to a pointless retail position...
I'm beginning to see its going to take a while to get my programing down and the money i had saved up to cover me for this venture is due to be out in a couple of months *sighs*.

Maybe i should jst go to university and use that as an excuse to get a huge loan haha...
Nah, hate debt...

Hmm, i did hear on the radio that diabeties can cause lots of sleeping... i think...
But i have managed to cut down to about 3-4 sugars in my tea

You'd be smarter to see a Doctor for a complete check up rather than ask here for uninformed opinions.

As a 22+ year Diabetic I can tell you that it does make you tired but you will need to be tested by a competent Dr to see if you are actually Diabetic or even on the verge. Some signs are - getting up several times at night to pee coupled with more frequent day time peeing, added thirst for more water/lquids, unexplained weight loss, hair growth on the palms of your hands (just kidding on this one). See a Doctor - it could easily be something else that is simply correctable.

I had that problem when I was your age, too much free time to go skating, sleeping , and socializing. Now I work 60-70 hours a week, go to school at night, and when I have a second to breathe I'm probably spending time with wifey. I fly my helis once a week on my one day off in the morning only. My schedule is packed. As I type this its 11pm and I have to get up for work in 4 hours But if you ask me, you said it yourself that you have been spending alot of time in front of a computer and skating. That stuff can be tiring.

I see from your profile that you are 21. Are you going to bed at night or drinking yourself stupid until you pass out? If thats the case I can tell you exactly whats going on from my days at 21.

Hehe.
Nah, sadly i cant stand this obsession with alcohol/drugs that i'v seen most of my friends surcome to
Dont drink, smoke filtered rolies (been giving up for about a year now ) and seem to have a thing for mountains lol so i jog daily along with the skating...
I guess what with the physical and mental workout may be contributing factors...
But! I'v taken a fantastic yet drastic messure to fix my sleep pattern.
As all stupid people do, and young means stupid... i managed to pull an all nighter and will use this fantastic sleep deprivation to my advantage to getting an early night tonight

Now common... someone tell me just how this wont work *grins*.
