I have been back and forth on what heli i want next for about two weeks now, i definately want electric, i am trying to keep it under 1000$ i already have, gyro, servos, radio, reciever, dualite battery system. I am thinking trex 600 but then it only flys for 5 minutes. I like the new raptor but then i havee had a raptor and it only flys so good. I love the mini joker but its to expensive, i wa thinking of converting my r50 but it would cost a little much and probably not be that 3d worthy. I am thinking if i find a good heli i can just use emolis. But i really would like to keep my next heli at least above 30 size. I am looking for opinions here. I hope you all have some.

Thanks, Nick

Nick,
Check out the Hurican 50 from RJXUSA. Rusty is great to deal with. The Hurican can be ran either glo or electric. You can also switch it back and fourth in as little as 30 minutes. The Hurican sells for $400.00 complete with a metal head. I am not sure how much the electric conversion is but I think it is reasonable. This is also a tru 50 size heli. The website for the Hurican is: [url=http://www.rjxofusa.com] You can also get ahold of Rusty on the forum. He goes by helibrite and will be sure to help you out.

Good luck!!!

Not to sure where you got the 5 minute flight time from for a TRex 600. The only one I've seen flew for a lot longer than that.
It may come down to type and make of battery of course, but don't discount the 600. I was quite impressed with it.

bald eagle,
if the url link does not work, please just manualy type in http://www.rjxofusa.com and go from there. The website is up and running. It is still under construction, so get in touch with Rusty by either email or pm him from RR. I know Foxden just got done building a complete electric conversion for IRCHASE. Let me know if you have any problems getting ahold of Rusty.

I do not own the trex 600 but was able to fly a friends. It was amazingly stable and powerful. It seems they fly more than 5 minutes but I have not actually timed it or asked my friends. Just my 2 cents. Also check out MA's new 50. It looks pretty good.

Practice! It might be costly but it's the only way we get better!

How about the Quick of Japan (not QWW) QJ16 or 18? All metal, priced right and beautiful helis! PM me for the source info so MR doesn't spank me for "cheerleading". You can see it and other QJ helis in my gallery.
