good deal! I'd been following this thread hoping for a happy ending with your berg given my own experience. I'd be willing to bet CC has some QC issues with the berg takeover.

Just like I said..
"was it dropped in the hobby shop or something?"
Must have been the case, or something similar.
Glad to here it worked out for you now go fly the crud out of your rex!

to be honest is berg7p really a good rx , and can it be used with the JR 7202?

cause i would like to buy the dx7 but for that price i could have bought a futaba 7chp or the JR 7202 with the berg rx + another TREX barebone

pls advise

Yes, just set the 7202 to PPM mode for the transmitter ..... everything else is automatic with this receiver!

The onboard microprocessor will prevent the receiver from registering a large spike. This receiver operates 1 frame set behind the transmitter. This allows the receiver to compare the position to the position from the previous frame. If the delta travel is too great, the receiver will see it as a glitch, and will not send it to the servo. If the fluctuation is small, the receiver will not see it as a glitch, and will foward the signal to the servo.

fwiw..

There is no comparison between the Berg and the SS DX radios...the Berg is still 1930s rf technology...Combine the DX 7 with the new micro DX 6100 rx and it is probably the ultimate setup for any micro/ mini e-heli...

(radio shack ) ferrite ring line choke .....
its not the lttle ring but a a little black box w/ a magnet shaped like a tunnel wrap your speed control lead going to your receiver from speed control 2-3 times thru it end of story also it is im portant to use the proper crystle.. for that receiver the choke is about 3.60 cents

Again the fact remains- Since using the supposedly inferior DX6 I have not experienced one glitch, not a twitch nothing-My trex is a rock in hover. It's only a matter of time before your $1000 TX/RX are rendered useless by the 12 year old down the street with his RC truck and he buries your $300 helicopter. So I am saving hundreds of dollars by supposedly down grading to the DX6, But I think safety and always being in control more than make up for this.

I too am a Berg 6 faithfull too, However
Yes I own a whole fleet of Berge 6 recievers, I LOVE THEM!
(3 helis) & (5 planes) was 6 planes.
I have never had issues with my helis and the Berg 6.
However lately, 2 planes, have had issues, and I lost one.
1) was a Berg 5 (the only one) kept cutting the motor, I replaced it with a new Castle Berg 4, no problems.
2) was a new Berg 6 (I have plenty) running 18V with UBEC, and digital servos, had flown atleast 20 times with no issues, until one day, no good range check with antenna down, only up one link.
I fly a 9Z with "NO" Synth. I use a ch35 modual.
Needless to say I went up anyway, flew for 10 min. then went up after touch and go, came around after take off, It then locked out and crashed.
We did the same range check with the reciever using a batt pack it checked out fine, even range check.
I will run Ferrite ring & separate batt. pack on the new plane.
AND NEVER FLY AFTER A GLITCHY RANGE CHECK!
that was the first time in 2 years and 8 models had a problem with the range check on the Berg 6.

You gents are following instructions and range checking with the heli at least 4ft off the ground, correct? Tried pulling the rx off and range checking on it's own? If so, and it's still doing it, try another xtal. If that doesn't work gimme a call so we can fix you up. We're always happy to help...just give us a call or email.
