So here I am thinking the Kasama head. I really like the look and the price is awsome but does it really makes that huge difference compared with the TT metal head?

Please don't let you brand loyalty speak but the facts. I already said I really like the look, the design and I am pretty sure the performance must be good as well but I am not looking for additional pitch. I already have +-10 degrees and I am happy with it.

Also the stock metal head I believe does not develop any slop since it also has the clamp/phasing ring.

So we only end to the improovement in the cyclic performance. Frankly speaking how better the cyclic performance is? Does it really worth to spend the money?

The difference between the stock TT setup, and the KASAMA assembly, is very noticable..
I have never experienced the Stock TT SE metal head, so wouldnt know..
I have read youre post in detail, and as you are happy with collective range, and you seem happy with the balance of your existing head then i would say no.

The kasama assembly offers great improvement over the TT Nylon KIT head, and also allows greater mixing options, but the advantage is that the KASAMA will allow over 18 degrees of cyclic with almost 28 degrees total collective...(on its extreme setting).

This as you mentioned is of no use to you,, especially as the stock TT set-up (Nylon) is also capable of 18 degrees cyclic, but at only 21 degrees collective.

I flown all three heads (stock, SE metal head, and Kasama). I can say that I felt a big difference when I first tried the kasama. First test flight and my raptor felt like a whole different machine. But if your not into 3D than you probably won't feel that much of a difference.
I was only able to get one flight so far with my new kasama head due to the weather but that first flight was awsome.
The kasama doesnt cost that much more than the TT metal head. And if you decide to do with the kasama get the head/fan combo. Great deal and you can lean the engine a few more clicks to get more power with the new fan.
BTW kasama has great customer service. All my emails have been replied back very soon and if you ever have any more questions Johan will surely answer everyone of them.

How different?I can't seem to see why this would be better either. Is the whole deal just that you can throw more cyclic and roll or flip faster?I 3D mine hard and 10/-10 is plenty and it rolls/flips good.I run just a quick UK head block with tight stock parts for the rest of the head and it seems to get the job done well. What's so special?

Yup the cyclic is more responsive than the TT metal head. I 3D my stock raptor with the plastic head and it flew great. There's nothing wrong with the TT plastic and metal head. It's just the kasama speeds things up a bit. But that's what I notice on the first flight. I still need to fly the head more to see the big difference. Hopefully the weather will be good this Sunday

Just an update. I finally had time to fly my raptor and all I can say is the kasama head is awsome. Words just can't explain it all. You will have to see it in person to believe it. I was doing some inverted push outs and my raptor just tracked like it was on rails! Before i installed the kasama head my raptor had a tendency to kinda roll over on the inverted push outs.

That’s exactly my experience – it’s so much better that all the other designs that trying to tell someone in words is not doing to do it. you have fly one of these heads for yourself – it’s definitely better in every category that you can think of.

It flew pretty nice for a 50 head on your zero G kevin, I think it would be a great way to get much more out your raptor, it flew soo much better than stock. The price makes it a great deal to get your economy helicopter rocking. The head is also very shiny, which we know shiny sells better, look at the programmable head on the avant/aurora. bling bling

Definitely the Kasama Head
I have had the Kasama head for quite some time. I have flown the sock plastic head, the metal SE head, the QUK head, the TDR head and the Kasama beats all of them hands down in response, speed, adjusment, etc., etc. At the most aggressive setting on the bell hiller arms, the cyclic is so much faster over every other Raptor head that it is hard to put into words.

Not only is the Kasama head beautifully machined with quality on par with Quick UK, but the customer support is one of the best I have experienced in this hobby.

They are also very durable. On my maiden flight with teh Kasama head several months ago, I neglected to check the long swash links. One of the links ended popping off while I was inverted during a roll. My Raptor came down on the head and not a single thing broke or bent on the Kasama head.

If you are contemplating buying one, stop wondering and get it. You will not be disappointed with your decision. This is definitely one of the best upgrades you can do for your Raptor.

Later...

Just need to vent.

Courrier came today to deliver my Kasama head. He rang the bell we did open to him but don't know what happened either he didn't realised that we open the door or he was so stupid and he only left a notice that he came to deliver a package and no one was at home and he left

My Kasama was at my front step today. I'll have to wait until tommorow now

Yes Hans it stinks. I wasn't there but I suspect my dear Sofia didn't open the door on time so the courier left. What do you suggest Hans is a good punishment for her? Maybe force her to see with me the IRCHA DVD
