If your packs are die'n that quick you are probably doing something wrong. And it doesn't take much to upset a lipo. Make sure you don't fly the packs right to the end. If you go into voltage shut off you have probly gone to low. Balance charge as much as you can and stick to 2c as much as possible.

Not they're not, it was just that one micro pack. I always use the 80% rule, and always balance charge at 2C

The longer tail boom would make it more tail heavy? I checked on hobby king and the difference between the packs is like 6g or something.

Another problem I've just thought of... My tail servo is mounted on the boom, and the 450L tail linkage rod is designed so the tail servo is inside the frame, my reciever and all my wires are there so it won't fit. Therefore it would be to long, and my current rod would be to short...

Just keep the 450 standard and go 6s! The pro version is a good little heli.....if your going to buy a new 450 and upgrade motor etc to 6s. I would suggest looking at a warp from compass. Get the 6s version. It's all there ready to go. Great machine

Where's the fun in that? 360mm mains sounds like the hit lol.

The compass is abit out of my pockets if you know what I mean I'd rather put that extra $ towards a 550 or something. The warp however is a fantastic heli!

What ever you do. Get something that will satisfy you for a while. Better to save up and get a better quality and or bigger heli that will service your needs. Other wise ...like the rest of us you will have a shed full of stuff that you don't use and no one else wants

Good advice!

I think I'm easily ready for a 550 size heli but like I said, money is a problem when your this age and don't have a job yet.

I think I'll go with the stretch, many people say it will preform the same or some say better then the Trex 450L afterwards because it is lighter with the same power/blades.

Then when I get a job I can start getting into the big bad boys.

IF, the chase 360 was coming out in a week or so and the price is good for a kit only, that could be tempting as all I would need is a motor, blades and 6s lipos, but it could be months away yet, who knows. And it would be a pain to fix if parts weren't avaliable here in NZ.

I'll see what I'm thinking when my V120 sells and I have the money.

Thanks

Nice flight

Kevin, just wondering, are you going to be ording in some KDS Chase 360 when they are released? Sounds like it's going to be quiet popular, even here in NZ!

Heya Phil.
I've got a few minutes off. But would have needed way more of course. I bought some scorpion tools and took some different brands of radios in my hand.
Ohhh and had a lengthly talk with Jan Henseleith! Cant wait to get my TDR-II! The most beautiful heli in the world by far - from the looks and the engineering point!

If you want to get all details of IRCH 2014 just have a look at Chris' blog enties. He covered literally everything!
