Okay, it's been a busy week and this is the first chance I have had to write a quick note about the Wellington funfly.

Firstly a HUGE thank you to all those that came along. Without you we wouldn't have a funfly at all. I meet some very cool new people and truly hope you all return next year. A huge thanks to those that travelled from the other end of the country to come along. Even Phil and Soko flew down!

Secondly a big thank you to the sponsors whom gave away some bloody great prizes!!
1. Hobby City gave away an awesome scale body!!!
2. Hobby Hangar gave away two sets of expensive Spin Blades and let people sample them throughout the weekend
3. Ray supplied whole lot of compass blades, shirts, hats and other trinkets
4. Richie Bee from Rotor Rage gave away some fuel and shirts
5. G2 ...... Chocolate !!!!!

Thirdly and big thanks to both George (G2) and David Bettany for all of their help behind the scenes making sure everything was running smoothly and G2 running the scale side of things which was a first for the Wellington funfly and something I really want to grow. It was great seeing some amazing scale machines. Very cool.

Also thanks to Soko for running some small demos showing how his very cool Heli tool makes setting up Helis both a simple process and very very precise. Check it out. I think most of the guys at the funfly now own one or will be buying one in the near future :-)

The weather was fantastic, the flying awesome with bugger all crashes (if any) and I cooked a mean Friday night BBQ for those that wanted to come around home. ( there was a full house and deck of you !!!!)

An awesome time was had a really can't wait for another year to go by before the next one.
Thanks to everybody.

Hey I donated the Compass shirts and hats as well as the blades.

I forgot until I was on the way home but there were some gift vouchers as well but they didn't get handed out.

Good weekend though, glad you organised some good weather and kept the goons from breaking into my car and motel and taking all my toys.

Life is like a bath, the longer you stay in it the more wrinkled you get.

Yip if your paying rich guy

Yet another great heli event from the Wellington lads, I had a blast, even tho I didn't have any helis. I do need to thank a few people tho, Ray, Allen, Phil, Ben, Andrew Martin, Tony Parkinson And Colin Peard for letting my have a fly with your machines, was awesome. The hi light was flying Colins Vario XLV, those big helis are quite different to fly but a load of fun. I don't think there are too many helis I haven't flown now

Update .......

Well Guys, I had this planned for a while now - But after talking with all my sponsors etc .......
I too am bowing out this season 2014 to take a break from the scene.
I've had amazing time within this hobby and accomplished more than I ever thought I could do.

Soldier (KEvin Foote) is the 1st person I need to thank, this guy pretty much kick started all my success.

All my sponsors of course: Fully Sponsored
Compassmodel
Savox
BD Demon
Mks
Rotor-Tech blades
Fusuno
Revolectrix
Soko heli kit
Hobbyhangar

Wanna thank all guys from old school to newbie's that I met thru this hobby, I have formed some great friendships (you know who you are ) and memories that I can look back on and have a laugh.

I wish you guys all the best
