I dont on my atom. Just run some lights down the boom and over the vertical fin. Cheaper and works fine.

Book me a tent spot.

I fly my trex 500 as a night flyer, I use main blades and align cold lights and align driver, ive found it works fine as long as you have the lights going rite down the boom and around the tail stabiliser, works great, ive got no problem without the light up tail blades

It will look very cool Dean, you will enjoy the night flying - I love my Aurora night blades and tails - At the mo I'm lazy, haven't put any of my string lights on the E720 canopy & boom yet.

Love the canopy

Just a little update on the Funfly

We so far have 23 names on the list of people attending. Hope it will get a bit higher than that. If you guys know of any other people that might be coming , get them to drop me a txt or email or pm on here or whatever just so we know roughly how many people are gonna be attending.

We have got a huge bbq on site for people to cook on, we will do sausages in bread for gold coin , but you are welcome to bring what ever you want and cook on it whenever you want. There is gonna be a 16kw generator running also so heaps of power.

We will put some maps up a bit closer to the event if you dont know where the field is, and the hours we are allowed to fly as well.

Any queries just post here or txt , whatever is easiest for you

Cheers

Nice canopy Ray. Been thinking about a Jolly Bee myself, keen to look at it in Taupo.

Finished converting my Atom 500 back to a 5.5 again. Pity it's now raining.

However I did find this epic video:

Flew the 5.5 yesterday. It was pretty windy put still awesome. I left the 10t in so it's probably still running in the region of 2800 or so.

The stopping power and cyclic response was immense, felt like a different heli. I prefer the RT blades with the white tips over the original all blacks as I can now see them.

Using 3700mah packs done burgers in 3:30mins :E

They are all toys, some are just more dangerous than others. That's two in a very short space of time. Very sad to hear.

It's more the ignorance of the danger that makes it sensational.

deadliest hobbies to have.
Thought standing around you while flying was up there too!

On a serious note, I don't fly close to myself anymore - these sorts of news are the reasons why.

Atom5.5 is great heli, I enjoyed it stretched than the stock - RTs 515 work a treat in my experience with it.
