heres a quick flight at the portland site. plenty of room i think for three pilots at once. plus an area for scale and other flying, which is the control line area, has a concrete pad in the middle.

Watch at YouTube

went out to day and all is looking good, ill try and get one more mow done before labour weekend, got some footage of the rec center and field as well, will post once it uploads.

the field, most of the flying will be done on the far side over the paddock, like in my vid.

the rec center, if you are interested.

i would really like to make this place a great heli flying site, and planes, there has been talk of removing the far light poles and making them removable. if i can get that done its the perfect site to fly, we can fly 24/7, its an industrial area and noise ant a big deal and it is rarely used. i would be very keen to make this a permanent heli event site if all gose well over labour weekend, and we get some good feed back.

Got to smack out some hard 3D on this warp360, this prototype has No issues - I also got rid off the rx / less wires and running strait off the X-base fbl unit. I expect this model to be released around November in time for our summer season if all goes well - Canopy is on its way.

I'm just using the Align415 cyclic & opted for the mini 520 for rudder instead of micro servo - ZTW 50a Esc fits works well.
Expecting some MKS servos to arrive next week, so will be installing these into my helis.

Howdy all.

Got my ESP T-Rex 500 on Wednesday, just been spending yesterday and today building the thing. I can't wait to get it flying - Should be a bit of fun and a half.
The heli is almost complete, just gotta put in the Rx and the 3G unit.

Cheers to Footey for sending the heli down along with all the other bits and pieces necessary to get it fully operational.

I'll post back here on how the build is comin' along.

Align T-Rex 500ESP 3G w/FPV rig.

Finally turned my 600N FB to FBL with the DFC head and Spektrum BeastX, was a little bit of a mission as Align haven't got a main shaft to suit the high 600N frames. A couple of old main shafts later and i found what i think is the perfect measurements to be able to get 90 deg on the servos at zero pitch with the swash in the middle. Just done first test fly and it went flawlessly. Can't wait for some better weather to set it up how i like it, hopefully before Whangarei.

Matt.
