Full speed inverted backwards, straight back at us LOW, and I'm guessing you pushed instead of pulling!?!?

Tail in the dirt, then pieces of heli tumbling towards us, AWESOME stuff...

Remember the huge hassle you went to getting it up to Auck in a guitar case, and then the mad panic rush to find a glow igniter for sale. Then BUFFA "first flight" I think??

Good times, Good times:-)

Yup. And that is why I hate why people label RC Heli's as "Toys" Even though they have the potential to rip your jugular vein.

In the words of Billy F. Gibbons: "That is one fine machine you got there"

I guess one can expect military applications to come out soon. AFAIK, the RNZAF is lookin' for UAVs & UAV pilots these days.

Anyone else trying out a MSH Brain fbl?

I'm still waiting on a couple of wires for it in the mail but should be good for a maiden on the weekend.
Am I the only one?

Sounds good Kim

I won't mention any names - after been given the run around - I still have the Scott Gray 720mm F3C blades - opened them up and had a couple flights with them - practically new!

$180.00 and they are yours - PM if interested

How you don't like SG-720 Ray?
Remember, it is probably the longest and heaviest 3C blades out there and takes a freight train to pull it. Rather, build the momentum while the disk unload and let it pulls the mechanic through manuvours instead of try to make it pop like 3D blades.
My YS-91 too have to be in top shape and God willing to be able to manage it at 1950 rpm. So if your rpm is at 2100rpm, you will not enjoy it at all. Then again, I believe your electronics will be off optimal performance at around 1950rpm? Mmm... 14S 450KV

My 2 cents,
Ramins

Heya Ramins

I do like them - But I'm just experimenting with different Blades at this stage - I was running 1600HS in the hover and 1750HS for the Aeros with the 720mmSG - I found them to be stable in a hover / track well in FF / I really like the Autos too ........ I found them to be better than the AlignF3C blades and similar to the V2 Radix FAIs.

Just watched Smacktalk Episode 27 "Traveling with helis" and they do a short segment on the best flying fields they have been to. Bert put up pics from the Erua Smackdown this year as one of the most spectacular places he has ever flown!! But did go on to say there was nothing to do there "the place is boring" but "the scenery is spectacular" Classic Bert PC'ness:-)also mentioned the mud pools etc but nothing about Nicks flight.

Cheers Ray,
Completely agree with your findings. Glad to learn that Radix FAI V2 is comparable to SG-720 as I believe they will be more and more difficult to source.
Wanna try Edge FAI? I am after one and can buy it off you when you done your testing
