Hello All

A reminder about the 'Have a go at FAI day' in Hamilton next Saturday.

More details can be found at the bottom of http://www.modelflyingnz.org/helicopter (just click in the box next to the calendar icon - let me know if it takes you no where) or if you have a Facebook login at http://www.facebook.com/helisignz (it seems if you dont log in to Facebook you cant see the event info :mad

Information of the classes and routines can be found on the model flying link above. Check out the 'Rules' section and look under 'Info' section for a specific document for the event (when it gets there)

Only changes to these rules are:
- FBL is allowed for all classes including F3C without any penalties on scoring
- 3DNZ will have a break down provided for what is expected for scoring in the freestyle section.

We plan hold each event - Clubman, Sportsman, F3C and 3DNZ one after each other - 2 rounds of each. Pending on the state of the field we will have another flight line for free flying. Looking to get things moving about 9.30am with pilot briefing and Clubman straight after.

Bruce McKay will be the Event Director and chief Judge on the day.

$10 landing fee to help cover costs of field etc.

Regards

Kim, I have used Align 610s in the ODIN 90 , 3D+ and the
Rave ENV for around 1year and now the Ballistic.
They have been working good. I gave up using $200 servos
when my JR servos started playing up and caused my heli to crash.

Dont get me wrong - the Align servos are good, but I was just thinking 90 sized direct link swash plate and something as explosive as the Goblin.. The ENV, Odin and 3D+ are bellcranked providing gearing and greater travel for the servo..... Just a query will be interested to see how they go in the Goblin and your Ballistic.

KIm

I am also a little concerned for the long term but as soon as i can afford to change them out i will be looking for a reasonably priced HV servo, These have been used in my 55cc plane so i at least now they work but give it a month or two and they will be changed.

Go to http://www.modelflyingnz.org/helicopter and scroll down to the 'Rules' section. You will see the schedules for all 4 classes - Clubman, Sportsman, 3DNZ and the F3C schedules are in the FAI document.

PS we dont fly F3N

If you have any queries send me a PM and I'll do my best to help out.
