Flip boi, not the story I was expecting!
1 week is gonna feel like a year, knowing your rave Ballistic is sitting there doing nothing.

Nope, cause i forgot to change my address at Hobby Hangar and now the Ballistic is locked up in the ex's house and she's away for a week
I hope she doesn't think she is entitled to half of this as well

Went to maiden the 6HV in the drive way. Mad death wobble on spool up. Have adjusted the spool up from very soft to soft to hopefully power through the wobbles. However I don't think I'll try it in the drive way again :OIan | 7HV ULT | Rave Ballistic FSO | Warp 360 | DX9

Tried it at a local field and same again. Reduced the cyclic gain on the BX and cranked through the wobbles it started to come right but sounded as though the blades were out of track, turns out they are.

Got home tweaked them a bit and tried again, powering through the wobbles but the heli reacts like the pitch is inverted then jumps off the ground. Thinking I'll try reducing the negative in normal and see if it does it again.

Any tips?

The super soft start will still kick the blades out of line with the spindle (it's not very soft) which will cause the wobble on spool up as the blades re-align. I think this is exaggerated on the 6HV because of the low head and long blades. I found that I needed to spin the blades by hand and then spool up, that is until I updated my HW ESC software to 1.07 as shown here.

Not sure if this is the same problem you are coming across?

yeah i always have to get the blades spinning before powering up, or the blades kick out of alignment and all hell breaks loose. Prob a dumb question but, are the grips leading edge?

Yeah leading edge on the grips same as the atom. I may give the manual spin a go and advance the blades a bit first. It's not until I start hitting half stick that all hell lose.

I'll try a few things tomorrow it was proper windy today which could have affected the BX.

Looking through my checklist he only thing that is different than the atom is the pitch guage I used. I borrowed Allens digital rc logger and thought I'd used it properly. However watching a vid seems I may have my pitch wrong, which means the 6 degrees might be off.

Will try again tomorrow. Cheers for the ideas thus far, might just be clown gloves.

6HV Problem solved.

Set the pitch of the blades properly - they were out by -2.5 at centre stick :O and almost 1 degree between blades. Also set the ESC back to pwm 12 rather than 8.

No wobbles and hovered fine.

There's a variation of that, I think it's somethin' along the lines of Laughin' So Hard, My Monocle Fell Into My Glass of Brandy. Somethin' like that, IDK.
