There you go Matt, like I say most problems are customer set up and not the fault of the unit. The main problem is that most people don't know they have a bad set up, think it is good and blame the unit.

I have lost count how many times people have sent warranty stuff to us to look at just to tweak the set up and send them on their way. The Actual real warranty rate is very low, I send less than a chocolate box size package back to Align once a year.

May Rave with the Total-G is still the best flyign heli I have ever owned, I think the Kasama will get up to the same level but a bit more set up tweaking is needed before I can say for sure

The Spektrum AR7200BX is just a Micro Beast, nothing more nothing less as far as I know.

It includes the receiver as well as the BX it's an all in one unit. Makes for a much tidier install and is the same price as a BX. The only unknown is whether it requires an additional satellite for larger helis but does support those also.

@braininnz, I have the allen keys for them that i ordered from an engineering firm...ill post them down to you if you want as i no longer need them.

Why fly RC helis? Because Rugby, Soccer and Golf only require 1 ball...

Agreed, that's the one big thing it has over the standard MB which can only take one satellite and by Spektrums recommendation that is only good for a 450 heli. This new unit should make for a much neater install on larger Spektrum/JR helis.

The older 250 has 0.9mm bolt heads and the newer ones 1.3mm

Steve, my dog might look very tame and freindly but so far he has taken a chunk out of three couriers, a meter reader, papaer boy and the next door neighbour, he is not keen on univited guests and has a little bit of a liking for fleash lol. Hes is only a half size dog but full size ears, bark and teeth

Does anyone fly at the Akl Domain during lunch/after work?

Magnazan/Ian - I fly my 500 at the domain, mostly before work as lunchtimes can be a bit busy - I'm open to options though so PM me for a phone number when you're thinking of going out.

Trex 550 3G for sale - complete
Hey guys, not sure if anyone is interested but I am selling my 550 3G. Its got a load of extras and is set up well/flies perfectly.

I just listed it on trade me but will throw in an extra (low use) lipo if anyone from here is interested for $995. Thats 3 flight batteries total, receiver, spare blades, the helicopter and all the spare parts for under a grand..

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Lis...2029485&ed=true

This heli is awesome and blows the old 600 out of the water in my opinion.

w00t FBL parts on their way for the Atom. Decided to go with the BX unit rather than the integrated spektrum receiver. Hopefully it gets here before Xmas.

Hi All

I'm sure it's been discussed a thousand times before...

I have just moved home from the UK my heli's are in a container on the wharf in Auckland and I am now looking for a flying field. I am currently based in central Auckland (north shore for now). I've been looking at a couple of clubs; NHMC and TMAC.

I would appreciate advise from any locals with respect to club selection. I've being flying model heli's for about 6 years and consider myself a more advanced builder and my skill level is moderate/hard 3D (although a bit rusty at the moment).

Cheers

It is on Greens Road, Dairy Flat.

Cheers

Found this on google I assume it's correct?

NSMAC

That location looks perfect for me

How many active heli pilots are currently at the club? I might come and check it out...when it's not raining.

Bring out the popcorn.....

I fly at NHMC but are about to move to Blenheim. It's the closest to where I live.

Highbrook could be an option for you and a few people on this site fly there (http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~gasayers/highbrook/). I have flown there on a couple of occasions but it is a long way to drive (for me).

North Shore Model Aero Club (NSMAC) may be an option too. It's out the back of Albany on Greens Rd. I haven't flown there recently but the times I've been there have been well worth it with a strong presence of helis and planes.

My advice would be to visit them all and see what suits you best. All of the clubs have some good people in them and I'm sure, have their negatives too.
