You must be careful not to over tighten the pitch slider, use loctite to hold it together not brute force.

Oh and high speed pass and 450 should not be used in the same sentence lol, its not high speed until you are doing 150km/hr

We got to see some good 200k plus action at Coffs, so I have decided I need to build a speed machine, I have a limited edition motor on order along with a Kasama Srimok, Yummy, bring on the drag racing

I didn't build this one, but I'll take the advice into consideration upon rebuilding it once the parts arrive.

It was scale "high speed"!

Those Kasama Srimok's look damned sweet. Are you looking at bringing them in or this a one off just for you? I must finish current heli before buying another one.. at least that's what I keep telling myself..

We will be getting a few in, I have orders for four kits in the pipe line, just working out a few finer details before they get shipped. They are not cheap but very nice, they have some sexy engineering going on that is for sure. I didn't want any more helis but I can't resist the Srimok.

It will live in a glass cabinet and just come out for speed runs on Sundays

Speaking of funny happenings with tails etc - has there been any word on an upgrade part for the tail rotor hubs on the Rave ENV? Brian said a new design was coming - just dont know when

That answers the "sexy stuff coming soon, but it's expensive!" post you made earlier. Will certainly be interested in more details as they come to hand. Any ideas on nitro or electrics, or a couple of each? The light at the end of the tunnel is the business end of a flame thrower

ENV Tail hubs
Kim,

Post from Brian in ENV Section:

"We actually just got them about an hour ago. PM me your addresses and I will get you guys taken care of.

The difference is the spot where the hub is breaking is now a large filet to eliminate the stress riser that we beleive is causing the hubs to break. There are also small rubber O rings that will be included with them much like the ones used on the Vibe 90. This should eliminate the problem.

Brian"

Cheers,

Steve

Hi guys

Hey I am looking for some help for a new guy. He lives in Palmerston North and has just acquired a RTF clone 450 machine (Dynam ERazor...). He has also got himself a Futuba 6EX and is looking how to get these together and to learn how to fly. Can I pass on someones name and contact details that might be able to help?

PM me if you like

Cheers

Anyone here have a Futaba CIU-2 programming interface cable they would care to lend (or I can purchase)? I would only need it for a day or two. If so, could you please PM me?
Thank you.

DSMX in DSM2 mode problem
I just got the following in the mail

http://www.advantagehobby.com/pages.php?pageid=75

The interesting part about the affected items are that they include

Blade mCP X RTF (BLH3500), E-flite Apprentice 15e RTF (EFL2725), Hangar 9 Alpha 40 DSM2 RTF (HAN4400), Hobbyzone Super Cub DSM RTF (HBZ7400), ParkZone Radian RTF (PKZ4700), ParkZone P-51D BL DSM RTF (PKZ2200), ParkZone F4U Corsair RTF (PKZ4600), Phoenix R/C Pro Simulator 3.0 with DX5e (RTM30R5510/RTM30R55101).

And I'm fairly sure we have quite a few MCP X RTF folks in the community. Anyway, check it out.

There is no issue with a radio that has the specified PID being used with a DSMX receiver. If you have a DX4e and are using it with a MCPX then I would not bother sending in your radio, too much time without being able to fly the awesome little heli.
If you are using your DSMX radio with a DSM2 receiver and have the PID code indicated then it would be worthy of sending it in.

Remember though it's only for 6 channels and less - most large heli setups are fine! It's also sporadic - so it may never happen, the small stuff MCRs etc can handle the odd impact.....

As for the AR5 and 6 series parkflyer recievers - they have been crap for ages. Get an AR8 - only like $1.50 more.......

Thought i had better post a pic of my 700e after the ground came up a bit quick last weekend, Did the normal damage, blades broken tail and legs, and 1 servo needs new gears, so got off quite lightly i feel.

The pipe is a hatori pipe, it came as a combo with the ys engine, i went for ys for a few reasons, i was reading all the rave forums, and most of the people on there are running them, and also talking with Nigel and Dave in Wellington a lot, and decided to go with YS.
Hopefully the weather is gonna be good next weekend for the maiden..
Once its flying ill organize a day to meet you in Auckland at one of your fields

Ha Kim! Yep not a fan at all. I parachute, go bungy-jumping, heck I'll even fly a Kyosho (using Futaba) to prove my manliness but no snakes thanks!

Cheers,

Steve Engle
