Just had three days without turning on the computer

Now it will take me the next three to catch up with the flood of emails

Off to Vegas in a couple of days to see if I can crash Wayne's quad copter lol looks pretty cool and flies well, I might have to build one up if I ever finish off my current list of stuff to fix.

Not long before the smack down, you need to book in before the end of the year if you want to go in the draw for the DX8!!

Can't wait Kev,

I will be bringing a Gaui X5 FES with me as well xD my x-mas present, I'm so damn happy hehe

didn't get much done today at the field, the 450 wouldn't take off, not sure why need to do some research, the esc would not start the motor and would also not give any sound beeps, it is flashing a red light now. still getting full power to the servos though which is weird and the rx is binding ok.

the weirdest thing is i flew last night but today it wouldn't start up. i thought i might have got a peice of long grass in the motor so i took it off but i cant see anything wrong, the scorpion motors feel coggy when you turn them by hand? you know the kinda clicky feeling?

Hi Dave

Check out some of the information here ( http://www.parkflyers.org.nz/module...d=1491&forum=31) for FPV. Looks like Bruce MissileMan has done some research.

Cheers

A lot of the more pwerful motors feel chunky, it is because of the strong magnets used.

What ESC are you using?, I take it your throttle and trim were down, the ESC won't arm if it thinks you have throttle input up.

I take it you had a fully charged battery, just make sure you don't have the battery cut off to high or set on 4S when it should be 3S or something like that.Life is like a bath, the longer you stay in it the more wrinkled you get.

Hobby city just got 4 kits in and they are getting a whole bunch of spares soon, they are the NZ local distributor for Gaui so spares shouldn't be an issue.Jack

What i primo day for flying, blue skyes and a slight NW wind perfect for auto's, had the field to myself. Only got in 4 flights, had the kids and they got sick of it real fast. The more i fly the ENV the more i love it, and with the 91 HZ-R, it's AWESOME.

If anyone is keen this coming Friday i'm trying to round up some heli pilots to have a bit of a fly in at the Levin club, this is not a proper fun fly and it will be a normal day at the club so there could be some planks. Would be good to get some of you welly guy's up here.If your keen and need directions just Pm me.

So far there's only 4 of us 3 locals, myself, one who fly's scale machines and another and Raynman's the 4th. Hopefully some of you kind of local's can make it, there's plenty of room for flying or even if you just want to hover around.
I'll be there from 10am.

Cheers
Jonzey.

Matt.
