The Rave ENV is taking shape, I will have the airframe all done today and make a start on the electrics. Think I might put in some 8V Savox servos.
THis is a beast the canopy is just awesome, I will be able to see it a mile away lol, the heli is not much bigger overall than the 700 but the canopy looks 50% bigger, it will have a very comanding pressence in the air

It is Orange, White and Black.
The shape and finish is very nice.
I'm liking the clean lines, some of the canopies around are a bit overdone, the ENV is all class, no tacky paint job to be seen.

Sounds like ol' Curtis did a good job on the design part of it.

Curtis does a good job of everything, it goes without saying.

He is still one of the best pilots on the panet and if all goes well will be coming to our fun fly in Feb 2011.

Just had a look at the Rave build , it is a class machine , typical of a Curtis machine, plus it has the added bonus of being a Nitro or electric heli , whatever takes your fancy on the day .
I can see a few of the guys wanting to get their hands on this one.

They have a big FF every year in Welly! Speak to the locals about holding an Intl. event mate. Why would someone from somewhere else hold THEIR event in Wellington??????

How about I call it Luciano Pavarotti because it will sound so sweet, plus it looks fat

Look if you guys want to hold the event somewhere else in NZ I'm open to bribes, the thing is it is just a lot easier for me to run it in Hamilton. Last year I had ten Australians staying at my house, it would be a long drive to the field if we had it in Wellington.

Plus it costs me a fortune to run an event like that so having it 500kms from home only adds to the cost.
