Accomodation
Hey Nick - Don't worry I've left it until the last minute as well

I might see you at the Abbey!

Bill - I'm helping Kevin pick you guys up tomorrow night/Thursday morning at 1am - man that will cost you

Have you Australian girls cleaned your kidneys out ready to carry on where we left off? As it's not a holiday here this time, Hamilton city should be open and we might actually be allowed in somewhere and get served!!

Cheers,

Steve

I have yet to book myself. LOL. The missus decided to come down too so it's a hotel room I'll be needing. Thanks Steven for the invite but this opportunity comes up so rarely that I gotta take her up on it.

Just the thought of not having to clean up makes it worthwhile...

I looked on wotif.com and got the cheapest thing I could find for approx 8 hours of sleeping. Ended up booking a "cheap front room" at Kings Court Motor Lodge for $90 all up (room + booking fee). Free OJ and toast in the morning is all good before heading to Macca's for a top-up.

No idea what it is like or how far from the field. Didn't seem too far on the GPS. A bed is a bed and I'm not likely to be using it for anything other than sleeping esp when I have a 13yr old in the same room!!

Every Motel in Hamilton is ten mins from the feild.

If anyone is stuck for a place to stay a mate of mine lives about a mile from the feild and I'm sure he has a spare bed or couch that someone can crash on.

Anyone not registered yet for Hamilton? GET in now. We have to support these kinds of events or they simply don't happen again. Kevin has put a lot of time and $$ into this event so stand up, be counted and come for a great weekend with your heli mates. The guys from Aussie are a great bunch and we had a blast hanging with them at the Heli Rumble.

Hey Callum - where did you book?

Well the yobs made it here - there are 5 of them so far. Kevin and I picked them up at 1am this morning, detoured via McDonalds Bombay as they didn't get much dinner on the budget flight

They've bought a range of models - XCell Stratus, Furion450, Fury55 (yum!), Hirobo SDX, (Cunning)Aerolingus 50 (say that fast 10 times), and I think there's a Synergy and a few other models still to arrive when the next wave of them arrive tomorrow so lots of variety.

Dropped them at Kevins in Hamland (bloody road works everywhere). Had a dose of caffeine then drove back to AKL as I had to work today. So got home about 5:45am and got 1.5 hours sleep. Sheesh - the things we do for our hobby
I need my beauty sleep now but will see you guys tomorrow.

Cheers,

Steve.

Staying at Kings Court Motor Lodge as well for $90. Have a spare bed in the unit if you want it. Only booked for Sat night. Heading down from AKL Sat AM direct to field, leave approx 7:30 and then head home Sun after all the fun is finished.

Changed my mind.
Not selling the 700E now,
so that means the Odin 90 is for sale.

LOL you must have been tired Steve, we picked up six Aussies on Thursday morning, there are four more arriving at lunchtime today and one more late tonight. I think we have 56 people coming all up so it should be a good show.

THere is enough spot prizes for everyone plus another dozen or so for the drag racing and other games, dam there is some bloody good stuff up for grabs, there is more $$ worth of prizes than we collected from entries so you would have to be a righ A hole to complain at this event.

We have had a couple of people had to cancle the training day today so if anyone wants to rock up last minute then feel free.
