Sweet to muddy
Wayne- great pictures- you sure made the Breitling look like it was under control This was my first flight with the new metal main rotors, via Andreas. These are now legal in NZ for scale machines- they are super sexy.

Plus- the action pix of the van under tow out of the mud- I think you were standing with Johnny P. just waiting for the van to roll onto its side. I had a feeling at one point that was gonna happen too.....glad you were ready to get all the pictures of that!

Thanks goodness there was lotsa ballast on the drivers side of the van........
HUGE THANKS to Kevin Foote and his company 'The Hobby Hangar Towing Service'. I owe you a couple of cold beers at least, my friend.

And finally- it was a good weekend, wasn't it? Jason did a fine job in organizing things, Kudos to all the sponsors, Thanks to the NSMAC for letting us take over the site, and my own thanks to the guys who tried their hands at the 30 Sec Hover Comp.

We should do it again sometime, eh?

Later- g2

Hi All,

Thanks to all for a great rotors over the shore weekend, only now recovering from a full day out in the hot sun on Saturday! Judging from Jamies video I have to practice my drag racing skills

George I am sorry I didnt get a chance to show you around the store on Sunday - next time when you are up.

For anyone thats interested there is a full time position going at Hobby City, city branch. Email hobbycity@xtra.co.nz

Yo Simon- really glad I finally found your shop- you do know there are 2 Caltex stations in your neighborhood, don't you?
All the folks who told me to fine you 'behind the Caltex Station" may need to drive around a bit more. I had almost given up hope finding you....but I followed the mobs of people- and they were all streaming into your shop!

You've got a great place there- no wonder there was a large number of people in there- hope they know how lucky they are to have such a great LHS in their backyard.

I'll make a point of dropping by next time I'm up your way. Then you and Andrew can take turns giving me a hard time

Best- G2

Wayne,

Damn my canopy looks soooo fine That luminous green stands out - great pics thanks.

Not even going to ask how George managed to venture off the road and needed to be towed out - all I can say is that George Orwell had it right - two wheel bad, four wheel good. The trusty Subaru AWD navigated the ruts with ease

The indoor event was brilliant especially that bike with the opposite lock power drifts and back flips! Reminds me of most weekends when I'm out on mine

http://www.zaq123.net/gallery/bikes thats me on the orange one

Jason - thank you for the great weekend - bit of a drive from Wellington obviously, but definitely worth it. Great catching up with so many fine people that make this hobby the place to be. A giggle a minute

Big thanks to Kevin, not only for the sunshade against that vicious akl sun, but for putting us up Friday night.

See you all in Hamilton soon, and the Wellington event mid March - http://www.Helifliers.co.nz

Hi all,
Found another new luv, 3D plane, . Just electric atm, will move on to nitro when I get better at it. So, anyone doing both 3D heli and 3D plane?
Just like 3D heli there isn't much poeple doing it and I'm fortunate to find this site where all NZ do 3D flying here. Taught I'd post it here, hopefully to find some 3D freaks, hopefully on both plane and heli, lol.

Less than 3 weeks to go to the Hamilton FF!

Is there mains power at the field?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets Australia & NZ use the same plug (type I) and voltage/frequency of 240V/50Hz. Is that correct?

Cheers,

Kev.
