Jason thanks for the effort of trying to find an alternate venue for the FF. hopefully the rescheduled date will be good weather.

Kevin, I'm going to stay up north for the weekend as the FF is cancelled, will give you a call about the part for the spinner, I might come down to Hamilton if the weather is good next weekend and show you the plane, maybe even maiden it if I have time.

Sounds good Jack,

Looks like we will have a couple of good days for flying this weekend.
I will be going fo a fly on Saturday for sure but might head to Auckland on Sunday to sort some stuff out.

Mum and the kids are going to Tauranga so I'm a free man Not that she stops me flying anyhow.

I'm heading back home mid sunday so maybe next weekend I could come down for one day and see if she flies .

Got two tanks through her so far, will get another two before next weekend.

lasts 25min on 40% throttle lol.

I need to make a brace or something to hold her on the ground, the back of my ankles are starting to hurt lol.

Get your self some round foam like they use for insulating pipes, or what para rubber or the warehouse sell as pool noodles then you just need a couple of spikes to put inthe ground, slide the foam over the top and your done :-)

Hi Footey Thanks for replying to my PM. Im building a scratch built Sikorsky "SEA STALLION" with a six blade head and pht3 turbine. The plug has been completed and I just need warm weather for a couple of days to do the lay-up of the mould. Its one thing to import a large scale however when you require fusalage spares the costs go through the roof. With owning the moulds and purchasing resin's locally the who project becomes cost effective. The two metre long fusalage will accomadate both turbine and gasser motors.

Jason,

Did you make an appointment with the tv last night and watch yourself?

How did the Maori tv segment go?

Did anyone else see it?

Welcome Siang! I fly out at the NSMAC in Green Rd. Dairy Flat. If you want to do some Buddy Boxing with me to help advance your skills just let me know. I'd be happy to help out any way I can.

Many NZ Heli lads hang out on this thread so you can keep up with what's on. Hopefully the weather will come right and we can all get into our flying season properly. My Cell is: 021-843-160 if you need to contact me.

Speaking of TV...TONIGHT!!!
Guys- for the folks who can get TVNZ7 on Freeview- there is a special treat tonight.

A bunch of the Wgtn boys recently worked with a local artist Regan Gentry, to help him create a piece of 'art'. This was captured for the TV show Nerw Art Land, with host Chris Knox.

I spoke to Johnm the producer for the show about a week ago, and he thought the show turned out fairly good, and that despite the drunken flying by a certain ex-Yank, Regan was pleased with the results of the flying.

The show is on tonight at 9:35p, and might be repeated onm Tuesday next week.

Later- g2

New Art Land Review
OK- now that the show has been on- I can confirm that it really was a great fun experience for all of us. Regan was fun to work with- and Chris is a super down-to-earth guy!

The show captures just a bit of the long hours that went into getting us in the hall for the flying. Cheye did much of the pre-production work and Matt of RC Bandit certainly helped out big time, too. Huge thanks to these guys.

The following awards have just been announced-
Most Photogenic goes to Richard Bee!
Most Blatant car yard advertisement- Cheye and AutoWorld, Lower Hutt.
Most expensive toys at his work desk- David
Best local hobby shop support- Paul
Sexiest scale heli not seen at the field- Dean
Goofiest-looking guy - G2

A special award goes to Paul, who brought in one of Chris's albums for him to autograph. Well done! I was too embarrassed to tell him I can play one of his songs on my ukulele! It turns out that Chris really hates ukes- so it was probably a good thing I didn't say anything.

Again- thanks to all the guys for helping Regan capture a moment in time.
