That may be the case but OFF the field security is lacking. Just ask the guys who lost over 40K worth of Heli gear a couple years back.

That park looks a bit small with lots of
houses around it. I don't think I will
be flying any 90s there. I think I mite only be
there one day.

Steven, I have not sighted the field yet. Will go straight after work and see. I will ring them tomorrow if not suitable but the council lady knew it was a model aircraft event....I only just got the go-ahead an hour ago.

Just left the park, Steven is right, it's way too small for this event, the council got it wrong.

Sorry guys, we're out of time. The event is canceled/postponed.

Enjoy your Holiday Weekend and try to stay dry.

Many thanks for the efforts you, and anyone that was helping you, have put into trying to make this event happen.

For sure mate. G2 (George) was working behind the scenes to help organise things too, so thanks to him for his support.

Big J
Hi guys- G2 here.

As Jason said- this event will get re-scheduled, and there will be a great weekend up there, I'm sure.

He has been sweating and worrying about this weekend being as great as possible. The Auck guys will probably have recieved their local news rags and have seen the publicity that Jason put out- I hear it was great!

I haven't done much from this end- all thanks go to Jason!

When we can get this organised- I've strongly suggested that some strippers be organised for the flyers entertainment. Jason thought this was a great idea, until he heard their names were Lance, Butch, and Ronald!
Don't know why he said no........

Hang in there guys- we'll be tearing up the sky in Auck soon!

well if its any consolation you just saved me from having to buy a DS8915 to use for the weekend while I wait for my damaged one to come back from JR

Lets see if we can convince Glen to come up for the new date (when one's chosen).. I wanna see Glen and Footey battle it out over JR vs Futaba

I will be flying in Hamilton on Saturday if anyone wants to head this way for a fly. The sun will be shining and the road is firm :-)
