Non funny rant.

what the hell is going on?? It has come to light that an issue of utmost global importance is on the lips of everyone that lives in Wanganui. I am so glad we have a bunch of politicians that pander to small groups and push through these issues of national importance. Better to use a whole lot of Taxpayers money to change everything to include an H in the place name when everyone except a few local Maori's say "don't change the name!" yet on the other hand lets spend 9 million dollars to gauge that 88% of respondants want the anti smaking bill abolished....yet they do nothing.
This govn't has turned out to be as bad as the last one. Ineffective and they don't listen to the people that voted them in.

Sorry to offend any Maori's but yes you guessed it...I couldn't care less about how a name is pronounced or written....I care more about the amount of OUR coin that will be wasted and has already been wasted getting to this stage. On a scale of one to ten I rate this issue a -57. I'd get more satisfaction from eating boogers than seeing anything on TV or in the newspaper about this again. People have lost their ability to reason....lets get into a recession and get all emotional about a Fu*king place name. Michael laws is right. this is done by stupid people with stupid ideas and is just dumb.

This country is like a wife....lets see how much we cannot listen and how much money we can spend. Lets never appologise. Lets do random things with no logical meaning and then appoint the blame squarely on someone else. Lets screw everything we can from our partners.

grumpy.

Did you get cut off on the way to work this morning???

I totally agree with ya. All these time-wasting decisions paid by us. If we made decisions like this at work, we would out on the street so damn fast for being... basically stupid.

Time to go fly. Nice weather... No politicians...

Guess by now you will have realised that the country is run by those who always have their jobs and agendas regardless of who gets elected into goverment.
look how many who have been MP,s and are now on the boards of companies that are going bankrupt.
Gives some idea about their competence .

You guys need to live in Papakura, Manakau, Franklin or Rodney districts that are being forced to become part of Auckland. Then you will really feel like you vote didn't count for anything.

In Papakura, we have low rates because we have a council that has considerable investments and we are being forced to become part of Auckland City. I dont know anyone who agrees with this BS.

Under the new Auckland Super City
a) Will my rates stay the same ? - I bet they go up.
b) Will bureaucracy be simplified ? - No Chance.
c) Will the cost of registering my dog (Papakura is the cheapest) stay the same - No chance it will go up.
d) Will I be able to continue to walk my dog on South AKL beaches ? - No chance we will be forced to have the same NAZI rules as Auckland has.

I cannot see a single advantage to a having a super city.

Now they are talking capital gains tax. HA! That will surely get the cost of housing going up. Something these idiots in power think will stop people buying investment properties.
How thick do you have to be to be a politician?

I just dumped a plain load of Grass 20 minutes ago. You have to go over the weighbridge in anything other than a car now. Last year we were dumping greenwaste for $6 a trailor load as it was recycled into mulch etc. Now it's $58 a tonne. I can fit 400 kg's on my trailor. 2 mows is over 400 kg. Serves me right for having so much grass eh? Oh and they don't take any green waste either.... there is a list of exceptions as long as my arm.

I drive to Otaki where they have a set charge for trailors and the people there aren't morons (for now) to dump any amount of any greenwaste I can fit on my trailor. I don't care if it costs me more in Gas it's still cheaper but the principle is that I won't give my money to a grubby money hungry council.
Do you know our NEW council buildings cost 11 million dollars......for LEVIN! I really want to smash someone in the face today.

IF it's done right the supercity will be a great thing. Done wrong it will be an abortion. I am saying this and I live on the Shore...

My fear is that the possible savings to be made through elimination of redundancies and increased economies of scale will be wasted by people protecting their fiefdoms.

Time will tell.

But don't even get me started on the Wanganui or anti-smacking debates. Pffft.

BTW - you do all know that cap and trade is the hidden tax that is being designed to lower standards of living worldwide and enslave future generations in debt FOREVER? Of course you did. I just want to get off the grid myself. Need to make some $$ fast so I can go bush and live off the land. Just me and my Helis. LOL.

You can see how Hitler, Pol Pot etc came to power, 95% of people living in the regions outside AKL don't want to be in super city and 80% of the population in Wanaganui don't want the H yet a minority somehow end up in power ?

Change of subject!!!!!!

Anybody flying NSMC or Highbrook this weekend??

I'm in the middle of my "Cathay 3 weeks leave without pay" which by the way supported a company that still made a profit!!!!!, so I'm keen for some flying this weekend. Have just picked up 20 litres from the Hamilton Hangar on my way back from Taupo, the Vibe's rec batt is on the charge as we speak so I am nearly ready to go.

back on subject...lol sorry hooch.

It's becasue we pander to minorities as these minorities may help swing the balance of power under MMP. If you are a tree hugging sandal wearing left wing Maori lesbian then you have more power than you know what to do with.

If you are a middle class male and can't afford to write off tax like large companies etc you are the bottom of the heap. you have no say....you get the most money screwed out of you, you are a rapist come pedofile until you prove yourself innocent by chopping your dick off, you get to pay for the whimsies of left wing tree huggers and right wing radicals and quite frankly how dare you even breathe the air you use....you should be paying for it!!! ( so we can afford to get another 500 000 people from other places to join our dole queues)

We have a few smart people but a lot are just dumb and the dumb ones do what the smart ones want. We are even dumber than them as we don't stand up to it and say enough is enough! "NO! you won't do that"

Wanganui will be spelt by me just like I did. It will continue to be said the same which I believe will be the same way the "h" people will say it as it's a silent H. Now how Fu#king dumb is that?

It's dumb people.

Here's something you all should be able to appreciate:

1. Kimberley Big Hole - South Africa

Apparently the largest ever hand-dug excavation in the world, this 1097-meter-deep mine yielded over three tons of diamonds before being closed.

2. Glory Hole - Monticello Dam, California

This is the Glory Hole at Monticello Dam, and it's the largest in the world of this type of spillway, its size enabling it to consume 14,400 cubic feet of water every second.
A glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir.

3 Great Blue Hole , Belize

This incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize ....
There are numerous blue holes around the world but none as stunning as this one.

4 Sinkhole in Guatemala

This photo is of a sinkhole that occurred February 2007 in Guatemala . It swallowed two dozen homes and killed at least three people.

5. This is the famous Rat Hole in New Zealand

It is capable of swallowing Millions of Tax Payers Money annually,

Never to be heard from again! It is reputed to contain at least 120 arse"holes".

I went round to the "richest guy I know"'s place yesterday (yup even richer then you kev ). Well it was the son showing us around as his parents were away (I knew him from school).

The bat cave featured 3 ferraris (2 modern, 1 classic), a hummer, masserati, some nissan something for racing, audi and 2008 vesper.. (???). Oh and the Enzo is normally in there aswell but that wasn't there last night for some reason. The garage has a huge park-on remote controlled turntable to aid in parking.

the upstairs garage had a ferrari daytona work in progress and classic bugatti with a straight 8 that looked like I could have milled it up..

I won't even go into the house details..

I did have to laugh though we he showed me his KDS 450 piece of $hit, and I made sure I gave him heaps for it. His reasoning for only spending $500 on an RC heli was that it was just to get him inspired for getting his pilots licence and buying his own chopper next year...
