Cheye. Yes seeing as you offered we are wanting live porn.

Tiddy oggy...how are ya. New to the ad hoc NZ forum? (get the hint mark)

Jason....have you seen my trophies.

George..the combat is started

Wayne....coming down to welly? I get that same problem when practising heaps on inverted auto's that I can't do an upright one to save myself.

Damn this weathers nice and I have to go away for 12 days.
Going up to that cold hole over the other side....yuk.

cheers

You missed a bloody good weekend at Taupo thanks Craig for the field & evening meal.
I had a flame out with the new TT 53 & autod it in only breaking the skids, i wasnt very high at the time. & then bugger me the vibe did the same thing & i autod that in quite a way across the field but no damage there. Was doing some 180 slow decent autos which was good considering i hate practising auto & generally dont do it unless i have to.
I have to say Jason, Aarron & steves flying have all improved heaps since Rotorua event which led into a good topic over dinner re the use of mixes for each flight mode & expos & duel rates for hovering etc.

Jason
flew the vibe after you left ran a whole tank no probs Guess it was just lean. & flew the 600 N when i got back to Rotorua & engine ran fine so dont know what caused it to quit yesterday ??

Thanks to Kevin Hobby Hanger for supplying Saturday lunch & drinks much appreciated.

I will be going to Wellington & driving down on the friday so hope to get in some practice between now & then i have got left behind in the 3D world & have some catching up todo. maybe we can have some backwards inverted drag races as some of you would have seen i have done this in the past but now there are people who can also fly backwards inverted & can join my it would be great to see, Anyone ??

Glad you enjoyed flying my Vigor Jason, F3C set up is a whole new world to 3D set up but i think a lot of its infuances can benfit some of the newer flyers.

Wayne.

Wayne it WAS a brilliant weekend. Thanks to everyone who participated and added to the festivities. And yes, thanks Kevin for lunch and drinks, and to Craig for showing us all how they do it in Taupo. Thanks also to Leanne for going out to buy all the food for us hungry lot.

I was way too hungover Saturday for my own good and the thumbs weren't working but I still had a blast. Thanks Wayne for allowing me to fly the Vigor, what a machine - you have it on rails brother! My knees were shaking though, she is a grunty beast. And that Piro rate was awesome, if a bit unexpected.

Yes, Aaron and the boys from Hammy have shown immense improvement, even since Rotorua. Amazing how fast these 3Der's are coming along. I must say the contingent of Align helis present was crazy. I think almost everyone had at least 1 Align bird and even the 500's are sprouting up everywhere.

We didn't have the 3D comp in the end, the pilots there were happy just to have some fun and do the usual heli chat thing.

The weather was pretty drizzly this AM but I managed to get a tank of auto practice in before I left - good fun.

Bring on Wellington!!!

Jason,

Well done on the 3D website - hopefully peoples positive comments makes the effort you've put in all worthwhile.
I couldn't make Taupo - as we've got Tokoroa jets coming up Thu/Fri/Sat this week, then a mates wedding in Melbourne Sun/Mon and I miss the wifes birthday! Not a lot of brownie points left!

By the way - there is an open invitation to all NZ (heli and aero) fliers to come along to Tokoroa to have a look at the jet meet - not rotary related (although there should be 1 or 2 turbine helis), but noise speed and flames instead!

Looking forward to the Wellington heli debut, but I think there is a possible clash with another jet event that weekend too. Decisions decisions....

Cheers,

Steve...

yeah umm sorry steve. The jets are awesome but pale in comparison to most hardened heli pilots unfortunately. 4 grand is enough to go flailing around the sky and after watching rene try to shoot for china with his one two years ago at Carterton I rethought the jet scene. Thanks for the invite. maybe oneday when I'm rich I might try jets. (with wife and kids read...not likely)

Been talking to John in HKG over the heli event. sounds like you have put a lot of effort in Cheye. Damn good. Be great for a big turnout.

All you heli fliers get your heli/heli's in the car and head to trentham that weekend 8th and 9th of March. We know where you live and there shall be no excuses.

Bull$hit and Bourban welcome.

We are trying to make this the best heli event in the country so we are putting a huge amount of time and effort in. The sponsors have been absolutely awesome and we have some pretty amazing things to give away and raffle. Support them by coming and then buying lots of stuff from them!

The lunch on Saturday is going to a yummy gourmet spit roast and is been catered by an outside company so I'm expecting good things!!
Because it being catered exact numbers of who's coming is really important so we have set up a website so as people can register for the weekend.

IF YOU ARE DEFINITELY COMING PLEASE REGISTER!!!!!

http://www.helifliers.co.nz

The website also has more info on the event, times, maps and as we get closer more info. Click and have a look.

NZ's best fliers are coming and we will be having demo 3D flights from both the RJX and Align boys. If you want to see what the country's best have to offer then you wont want to miss these guys. I've seen them fly and words "MIND BLOWING" comes to mind.

Heli flying has grown massively offer the last couple of years so take the time off and and come. We need you to make this the best around.
You wont be disappointed!!!

Any chance of a rough outline of what is happening when?

I would like to come down one of the two days but would like to know what events are on when to decide which day.

Also I have not registered as yet, don't want to register and have you assume I will there all weekend, others may be wanting to attend 1 day as well instead of two and that may mess up your numbers for your caterers etc.

cheers.
