Not me I'm afraid. Got to pick up the Wife on Sunday so have to clean the house before then. Amazing how dirty things get when there is no woman to clean it up
pussy whipped eh?

Now Pheonix.
I have been hammering jasons pheonix sim this morning that is until I dropped the radio and broke the left gimbal off. (just joking J.)

I like it. Landing is harder than real life but thats not bad....at least if you can do it on the sim you can do it real life! Real flight is more accurate here. I couldn't land the thing at the start 5 times out of ten as it fell over at the drop of a hat...unlike my trex 700 in real life.

I put the pitch up to +13/-13 and slowed the tail to 300 degress per second. Increased the power to 2.2 kw. (OS 91 hz....LOL)
got a bit of pop going.

Auto's more realistic and harder than real flight which is good as real flight is too easy. On real flight you have to increase the weight of the heli to make it harder.

On flight....well the real flight and pheonix are pretty much the same once you have phaffed about with the settings for a bit. Both have great graphics....both work well on a descent machine.

Real flight advantages..... controller attached to the computer at any time and no batteries to charge....no wearing out your radio gimbals etc.....disadvantages....the controller is a bit hokey compared to a descent radio so you lose the "feel" f your own radio and not enough switches so you can emulate flight mode switches and throttle hold switches.

I'd give phoenix the thumbs up if you are happy to use your own radio.

Sorry can't make Hamilton this weekend, I've got to be at the house on Saturday for painting and Sunday I was planning on doing a few things with some friends.

A Jazz Sport!!!! WTF is that your car or your wife's?

Get a mans car and the insurance will be cheaper LOL.

I have no idea what I pay, it is with AMP-Vero, Sister works there so I get staff discount.

Glenn it is a Hyper 50 I need to do.

I have your mates motor here I am going to test it out tomorrow and set it up and send it back to him. I really dont have time for things like that at the moment.

I have a JR X-3810 here you can have for $200 if you still want a cheap radio for buddy boxing.

If it's G morgan....he is definately not my mate and I couldn't care less if the engine was trashed. I have told him in a few short words to FOALMA. He knows everything about heli's already so why isn't he fixing his own engine?
Tell him it's fuc-ed even if it isn't. Oh yeah...I'm a nice guy till I'm not

Don't diss the Jazz it may look a little girly (More old manish tho tbh) but it's a brilliant car.

Anyway looks like AA is the best so far. The search continues.

Oh and I'll give you $800 for that 600e CF you have.

Geez, I'm still waiting to see that thing so I can get one made as well.
Maybe some shopowner with an entrapeneeeerial streak will get it CNC spec'd and turn them out by the doz for those of us with too much $$

I've seen it up close and had Glenn explain how each bit works. Defo a good tool to have if it was cheap enough.

I have had a wee design change to make it a dual 50/90 tool.

I did some the other day.....I must say that it was one of the best tools I have made....makes the job pretty damn quick easy and no guess work. I don't care what anyone says....I like using it.

Ian,

Did you want my 600E? for $800.00?
Is that with the $1200 Plettinburge Motor and ESC as well as the 9255 servos and the 611 gyro, TT upgrade and all the bling money can buy?

Or just the airframe?

I dont fly it much and have a 600E in a scale fuse so only need 1. I am going to cut down the fleet 20 models was ove kill for the amount of time I get to use them.

If you want to sell the whole lot for $800 that's cool with me

It was the $1200 CF one I was actually referring too.

Ian,

The one that is on the site for sale is Jared's, I dont know how low he would go, you might be able to screw him down. Jared should be in tomorrow, he has a runny nose so couldn't make it in today

We will have more of the new 600ESP kits next week, more bling bigger motor. Or you could give one of the Knight 600E ktis a go, we have a 6S and an 8S, the 8S will have longer flight times but with the 6S you can double up your 500 batteries.

I'm after a cheap beater 600e. I've got the 500 which does very nicely but if a cheap 600e came along i'd probably grab one. Will see how low he will go :-)
