NOt to hijack this thread but... The motor is not a 260. I originally purchased this heli from Bobby Sellers. He had a 260PUH in it . When I got it I flew it a couple of times and the vibrations were just too much. I ordered a piston and jug assembly from Hanson. He recomended the 231 pro setup because it was the smoothest. I ran about 2.5-3 gallons of Amsoil/Camper fuel at 50:1 with no motor issues. I swapped the heli to Greg Nowell at RG's R/C .. He then swapped it to Dr. Tim along with a Sea King Fuse.

I just wanted to save you from getting any bad feedback if someone purchased the motor and found out it was not a 260...

Rick

If in doubt lean it out . We don't do this to save money, we save money to do this

So it is a 231 pro? So this sticker that I took the picture of is not correct?

Got me confused a little here. But I do want to know the truth on this before it's sold. You did run it as a 260?? I know it looks in good looking shape in the exhaust.
I swapped the heli to Greg Nowell at RG's R/C .. He then swapped it to Dr. Tim along with a Sea King Fuse.
This I know is correct but I think they may have changed the engine again since you had it.

Thanks

Nolan

I did not remove the 260puh sticker when I changed the cylinder.
From when I had it flying and it slung a tail blade(Twice as a matter of fact) in flight after that is when I traded it off to Greg. I put the Stratus Flybar upgrade on the head as well as the "L" brace on the head of the engine.. To the best of my knowledge the heli/motor combo has been unaltered and not flown since I had it, in fact I still have the busted fuel tank around here some where......

Now finally I've put 2 and 2 together!
You know I was looking at the pictures of this heli and I did notice that L brace on there like I've done to mine. I remember speaking with a fellow about this a while back but forgot who until now Rickster comes on and says that was his heli and NOW I remember it was Rickster that told me about that L bracket!!

Ok, now that makes sense! Wow, this heli has been around and around...kind of like musical chairs, the music is running now, when it stops, who is the new owner going to be??

Well for what its worth I have that L bracket on mine and well and I don't know if it really helps but I figure it doesn't hurt so its on there. I've got 198 flights logged on mine and knock on wood no parts have ever been thrown off my heli and I AM running with a G26 but it is a Hanson Modified one.

Ok, That makes sense to me now. You just changed the cylinder/piston combo. Well that would make it a smoother running engine than the 260 is known to be. If I remember right you had the open TR gearbox on. This heli now has the closed TR GB.
I'll have to go correct the original add.

Thank for the history on the heli, Rickster.

Doesn't matter how many owners a heli has if it's put together right it will fly right.

Dang, forgot to bump this for over two weeks.

Still available. Don't see how anyone will get into a Spectra G cheaper.

Gasser
Since this all starter out being my helicopter new, I put a Hanson Mod 26 engine in it, I talk to Bill Meadow(I think that's the way Bill spells his last name) and he told me not to put a stock 26 in it because it shakes to much but Hanson puts a lighten and blance piston on his conversion so that what I did, purchase if off Century. The reason I sold it, could not get the $300.00 Hatori to stay on, I had version 2 and they had version 3 out and I did not want to buy another $300.00 muffler, love the helicopter, didn't love the muffler. It went to TheRicker with a Hanson Mod G26 engine. Bobby(if it didn't century screw me)

I had the older first version Century pipe on my old Spectra G and although the finish would pit some it never worked loose on me. That was good because it was a PAIN to get the lower bolt tightened.

Bill has tried all the combinations of engines in his Century gassers. No if he can just remember all that stuff!

Heli in RESERVE pending payment.
