Futaba 9251 Flutter HELP
Hi! Went to feild today to run in the new engine.
Flew around when suddenly the tail didnt respond (Panic) and the heli started to follow the rotor direction.
Pulled full left on the tail, and it stopped slowly.
Earlier at this flight, i thougth the tail speed was very slow.
Got the heli down in one peace and started to investigate.
I think the newly grased gearbox leaked out grease on the rear,
because when i cleaned it and oiled the slider it now runs without resistance.
Now when i put a finger on the servo arm it flutters? when moving the servo left/Right. Should the 9251 flutter, or is the servo damaged because of the earlier resistance????
I cant remember that i felt that flutter before, But i am not sure.

/Henrik

Try swaping with another servo to see if it flutters.

When i move the servo with power off! both directions from center there is a little resistance and a click sound at one point near center in both direktions is this normal. the servo moves quite easy with little resistance...

No clicking!! You probably have a broken piece in there. It should be smooth, going back and forth.

Regarding your other point, if you put too much grease in the gearbox, yes, it will seep out and then gumm up the pitch sldier which will adversely affect your tail servo motion. It is possible that the grease which oozed out created so much resistance for the pitch slider that the servo actually broke a tooth while fighting the grease and trying to move the pitch slider. Take the servo apart and check out your servo gears.
