Think again!!!! went out to the lake Isabella yesterday and had a blast. the only thing that stinks about flying with floats is it makes the heli a little sluggish.
check out the pics.

I've never done it, but it looks like fun. Any suggestions on floats, or making them?

Well the helimax floats are cheap and easy to install.
the only thing that sucks is when you spool up on the water it spins until you get the head spead up so the tail can hold it.
if you are thinking about it don't wait!! It is so fun.
i got a video I am going to upload here soon.

wow!
Great video and some god pictures.

Looks fun to have your heli land on water. But I’m still a beginner so. I think it is best I learn to fly proper before attempting to land on water.
You said that the floats make the heli spin on the water? Don’t it tilt on to its side??

Maybe I can make/bye floats for my t-rex 450x? It would be cheaper to crash that then my raptor 50v2.

Just added a new video on my gall to day. Got a wireless cam on my t-rex. But that video comes no where close to your video.

Untill you get used to sarting/stoppoing on the water just take off on the ground, land in the water but don't let it spool down. Therefore you keep the TR working.QUICK! ,,,can someone turn the gravity off for just a second,,,,

It is a blast! I was racing jet ski's on Cumberland a few years ago. They thought they were fast until I blew past them like they were standing still. It really draws a crowd. The Helimax floats work great.
