Raptor 90 Boomstrike.
Can anyone tell me the possible causes of boomstrike please ? having owned power planes electric helis ( small cheap nastie ones ) I decided to buy a Raptor 90 from my local shop. They put it together was adjusting mixture on the motor as it was dying when while still on the ground it let go.

Shop was really good they said classic case of boom strike. They are rebuilding it for free and setting up ? Curious to why boomstrike occurs ?

Is brand new Heli !

Had blades at point where when you put heli on its side they slowly fold to the ground

Loose blades are a likely culprit. A tiny amount of pivoting in the grip can make an enormous increase in the reach of the blade tip.

The blades should be tight enough so that they don't move at all when you hold the heli on it's side.

The disc is flexible (Blades), if the skids are in the ground and we input elevator the vertical fin touches the ground then the blades reaches the boom if we input back in the controls.

This happened to me ones, I was ready to take of, I forget to change the model in my Radio, so the elevator was reversed so when I so the disc going back I was: forward!!!!! No, no, more forward!!!!! Then bang!!! The blades hit the boom…….
