Hmmm
Hmmm, someone has to know? Still alittle ticked no more v91's where ever produced or mp-e's since the xl project got under way, but I guess when you have such a nice product, you can do this. I could have 10 of these helis and be happy

If you send Jan Henseleit a mail he will reply. Wednesday seems to be his email-reply day. He has always replied to every email I have sent him.

I notice that Jan also has placed pictures of a revised 91V on his website which has a shaft driven tail and the other revised bits likle the XL.

weird
weird that makes the xl and v91 even closer yet in design then, I have always wondered what you are gaining going to the xl vs v91 and this only widens my mystery.

It seems Jan is acknowledging that a driveshaft to drive the tail is the better solution for machines with .91 engines (like MP-V91 and MP-XL).

Consequently he has retro-fitted this to the MP-V91 as well.

Excerpt from his website:
Heckrotor-Starrantrieb für extreme Belastungen und lange Lebensdauer
Which translates as: "Tailrotor-driveshaft driven for extreme use and long service life."

Hmmm, since my MP-E with 10s1p has the same power as a 90, I would like the driveshaft on my MP as well :-)

Ralf

Found some more in the text next to the MP-V91, version 2006:
Which translates as:

Compared to last version (Big-R: I presume 2005) the 2006 model is a downsized XL. This means that the upper chassis incl the tail rotor, the driveshaft and the rotor head are completely identical. This allows customers to move to a full size XL very easily. For that just the lower chassis, clutch bell with different gearing and a slightly longer tail tube and driveshaft plus the larger canopy are needed. So an absolute compatibility exists between the 2 models.

Ralf

still
still sounds like not much difference besides it can handle the 91 engine alittle better? if you are electric and running a v91 it sounds exactly the same with less weight

Yep - I received my mail from Jan Henseleit today for my MP-XL-E reservation.

I confirmed it and payed. The price is 1090 EURO for the kit. I also ordered NHP Razor Pro 700mm main blades, K&S 95mm tail blades. Canopy color yellow (other choice white).

Will be shipped end of this month.
