Setup question.
I have a rebuilt Revo CP that is apparently a Shogun V1 with a Trex rotor head. Spools up nicely and has a good track on the mains but as soon as it gets light on the skids the tail is near uncontrolable. I have a Zoom headlock gyro mounted direclty under the main shaft but it doesnt seem to want to do its job. At the moment I'm using a 1300mAh lipo and need to add more weight at the nose to get CG centered on the shaft. Still working on leveling the swash but sofar it is pretty square. I can trim it much better in a hover but cant get there with the tail out of control. What should the pitch on the tail rotor blades be in neutral? I set the mains to +7/-7 so I dont think torque is the issue but I could be wrong.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcome. Also if anyone is in the KC metro area and would like to show me how to set this bird up right I'd be more than willing to learn. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
is there a switch on your gyro marked: "rev or normal" if there is you might have it set to the wrong position.

You might have issues with your pitch....sounds like a little much to me, but you can always adjust to your liking

Dont think its the switch because before its light on the skids it does turn in the right direction for the input. I'll turn the pitch down in the radio and see if it makes a difference. I'm also going to relocate the Gyro to the tail because under the main shaft its a bit close to the ESC and the motor. Not sure if it would cause that much interference but at least it will take that out of the equation.

Also if anyone can remember how to reprogram gyro sens into a 9C I'd appreciate it as I cant find it in the setup menu.
