What a sad day....
You want believe it, my wife opened the window in my workshop today and the wind blew my beautiful Huey of the shelf and right down on the floor It's a lot of damage to the body itself and the windows are all cracked. The Huey is a Hirobo model. So my question is: How do I fix the damage to the body an is there some way to make windows out of clear styrene or something? Or is the best alternative to buy a brand new one? Hope not though....

Paalk,
Get a hold of Super Jeff over at MRC, if it's Hirobo, he probably has a line on replacement parts.

Just remember how hard you are on her and a woman's memory . So the next time you screw up she will remember this and you will be in so deep a backhoe won't get you out . You would be better off being easy and getting some points in the bank and she will still want to make it up to you now ! Don't be dumb Play it right and you win on both ends !Scott Sr. ><> ****Support Our Troops**** ><>

Cheeze man, how high was this shelf, 20 feet? Thats a lot of damage but I guessing the floor was concrete, not some plush carpet. I know, not everybody has deep pile carpet in the shop. Sorry to see that, did she cry, or did both of you cry ?I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

sorry to hear about your pride and joy ,,, hope Jeff can maybe hook you up with some repair window parts . The glass looks like it could be repaired pretty easy ,,,the paint is going to be the hard part ,,matching and blending in .

Play it right and you win on both ends
That is some of the great advise on the marriage side of this hobby ,,, I guessed that it came from an older gentleman that has been at the rodeo a few times before ,,so I checked your profile and find I am right .
My wife tends to beat herself up plenty enough on things like this and really responds well if I say something like : I am really sorry that this had to happen ,especially to the one I love ,,,,it's the sorry part that really gets her as her first husband would have brow beat her to death for such a simple unimportant thing and been mad at her for months .

Thanks guys, I just dropped Jeff a note last night so I hope he can fix some windows. And no, the shelf wasn't 20 feet high he he but it fell from the shelf right down on my table and from there straight down on a tiled floor
I'm glad I saved the mechs. And when it comes to the wife part, she is sorry enough so I really don't have to say a lot. After all everything can be fixed...

You checked my profile and this came from an older gentleman . Don't put me in that category yet I have a few young years in me before I get into the older gentleman category . The advice years of making mistakes and then finally getting it some what figured out . Happy Flying Scott Sr. ><> ****Support Our Troops**** ><>
