Dual tail motor upgrade for CP
Have seen dual tail motor upgrades online, are they worth the conversion, dual heatsinks needed? Also, where I looked they were all sold out of the dual motor housing. Any suggestions where to buy?

Thanks

some people like 'em, some dont. I have it on my CP PRo and love it. its only downside is weight. the battery must be moved WAY forard to rebalance the heli. The tail is much more responsive, however, which is nice, especially if you run the G90 HH gyro (worth the money!)
I got mine from helihobby.com for 22 bucks. Another motor runs 8 bucks, and 2 i think for another heat sink. After a fully battery my tail motors are BARELY warm. I'd recommend it!

I have the dual tail mod from helidirect (The $18.00 one) and two E-sky motors from the same place.

My motors have logged over 20 hours of flight on them and they are still going strong. Worth it? For me it is a no brainer. I never had a single tail last longer than 15 flights. I have a single heat sink on one of the motors. Having one on each cant hurt.

Get a Trex. It flies rock solid and no problems with the tail.

Really depends on people, I installed a dual TR motor and flied the first day in my life without crash. (Actually got scared by tree and made the blades scrach the ground in a quick turn, but that wasn't b/c of the tail) I just adjust the prop mix and then turn the gain on the 4 in 1 to the max and fly, no wag at all.
But yes, the batt needs to be moved. I even have to make holes on the canopy to move my TP 1320 battery so the swash is leveled. I can't think how it's gonna work if I use a 800mah lipo.
