Tiny tail twitch on R50 Titan
I have my new Titan just about dialed in. The only noticeable thing I would like to check on with you guys is when in a hover, the tail moves left to right just a little. I thought maybe the gyro was a little to high and backed off but it still does it. Maybe this is just some thing that is normal? The back and forth is very small and unnoticeable to someone not looking for it. I also checked the pitch fork, no slop detected. Any ideas on where else to look?

Thanks

Is your engine leaned in to its final setting? If no, then dont worry about it yet, if yes, then do a pinch test and see if your low end is too rich still.Andy

I believe the engine is still on the rich side so maybe that is it. I can still hold my finger on backplate for a long time even though I have high end turned in to 1.25 from all the way in and the low end needle is perpendiclar to mast, this is a hyper 50. I havent tried it in rate mode, might try that as well.

Thanks

also if on tail what way is the servo facing the leads toward boom or toward canopy this helps alot if facing towards canopy its bad! u get the shake thing! ive seen it turned the servo around and bam stopped all togheter

I don't use the rate futaba manual method. I Just adjust the linkage rod until the heli doesn't drift in hover. works great and is a lot faster set up.

BG,
if I understand correctly, you put the heli in a hover in rate mode and no revo and adjust the linkage until it doesnt want to drift?

Thanks

You dont need revo with a 401 but yes thats the theory, if you adjust the tail linkage on the Raptor until the slider is 4.5 mm away from the tail case while the servo arm is 90 degrees to the rod (the arm is straight up) you will be pretty darn close with the linkage length.Andy
