4-in-1 LED's Flashing Red/Green
Spent the morning looking at every thread for a CX 4-in-1 and tried all the troubleshooting tips for a flashing red/green LED RX that I could find and still it will not init. Here is the story:

I replaced a smoked 4-in-1, replacement worked fine the first few times. When I attempted to fly again I turned on the radio as usual and powered up the CX, the servos init'd, and then the rotors spun for a second. I unplugged the battery and tried again. Now all that happens is the servos move slightly and the LED's blink red, change to green for a second and then alternate between red/green. Tried reseating the crystals, checked the trim and tx throttle, moved the tx further away, new tx batteries, unplugged the servos, and still no joy. Any ideas short of lightening my wallet for a new 4-in-1?

Thanks

You said you checked the throttle trim, Did you try to move
the stick 1/4 up them back down to see if it will arm, I have
had to do this on a few occasions and it worked for me. My trim
was always down "off" all the way as I don't use it.

hi
Throttle DOWN all the way
Throttle TRIM down all the way
Both switches DOWN

THEN plug in battery

It will flash RED then flash GREEN then once it gets steady GREEN, youre ready to take off..

Try it and let me know if it works.. Everything has to be DOWN in order for 4 in one to initialize
Crash-Prone and overcoming it!!!

m_s_ferguson I had the exact problem. I had a 4 in 1 that quit and I got a replacement from Horizon. It too lasted a few flights and I had your exact same problem. I tried the throttle trim and lowest throttle stick position. Couldn't get it to work. Ended up buying a Vortex unit for the CX ($38) and it works fine. Only a few flights on it so far though.

Retried the throttle and trim again, still no joy. The red led flashes three time, pauses, green led lights, then starts the red/green flashing. Think I'm due for a new 4-in-1. Before I order it, I'm going to take it into work and put the 4/1 under a scope and look for some something that doesn't look right. Who knows, may get lucky and find a bad solder joint, broken trace, or smoked component.

Good luck. I hope you find something. So many people have trouble with these 4 in 1's I dont have much confidence in their quality.
