Help with building first helicopter
There are threads all over RR from people asking how to put a heli together or what to look out for when building a heli.

There are many replies and in particular there is the usual "tap the threads in the Evo swash before installing the balls".

I have only built one helicopter and that is the Evo 50.

So here is my 5 point plan for the newbie heli builder:

1. RTFM.
2. RTFM to find out what tools, adhesive, lubricants, etc are required.
3. RTFM to check all the parts are in the kit.
4. RTFM whilst building the heli
5. RTFM to check out how to setup the heli.

From my experience all the information is in the manual, all you have to do is read it!!

Happy building

And if all else fails RTFM one more time just to make sure you haven't missed anything.

Some manuals are better than others. Audacity has great instructions but mediocre helicopers. The Raptor is a good heli but the instructions are lacking. The first Raptor I built would have been alot more of a chore without Raptor Technique.

I'd rather see someone ask a question in here than not locktite something or have to take it apart 3 times to get it right.

So while I agree that reading whats available is a good idea, the point of the beginners forum is for beginners to ask questions, you could always stay to the more advanced forums if such questions bother you.

Perhaps I should of titled the thread "Second best advice for beginners" as a dozen threads down there is the best advice for beginners. LOL.

I know this is a bit of a troll but some people really don't help themselves.

I think you said it correctly. I would rather see a question repeated than see a self made expert gripe about it.
