SOS, MAYDAY, HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP
Wow been a while since I have been through these hallowed halls, and sods law the thing that brings me back is my helis broke.

I will have to post a picture as its a sight to see, but in short I am after any leads on getting parts for it.

SST Eagle3WC, carbon torque tube drive version 0414-915, and I have been bit by the duralite battery. We all know the warnings that accompany charging of these batteries etc, and I have the designated Duralite battery charger. I am VERY carefull when charging them, but this isn't a clean cut example.

Having flown several tanks and topped the battery up at the field I packed up and went home. Several hours later I took my heli out of the car and left on the concrete floor of my garage. Luckily for me there was nothing flamable nearby as ten minutes after getting home it spontaneously combusted.

The odd thing is I was flying earlier, and all was well. The time between flying and putting the heli on the ground in the garage was probably about 3 1/2 hours. So surely it wasnt hot from being overexerted, it wasnt being charged it was simply sat there. If there was a short in the switch etc then surely it would have lit up a lot sooner.

Very wierd, but the good news is my home insurance will cover it, so all the radio gear will get replaced with no issue. The problem is the main frame, I can't seem to find anyone who stocks the parts. The main frame part is 0414-294, does anyone know where I might get it?

Mr Noodles you STAR , will make a list of what I need and look there. The only thing I will say is when I emailed them a long time ago for the availability of some other parts I never got a reply, maybe because of a language problem. Well I will try them again and hopefully they will have what I need.

Cheers mate

The duralite battery has a protection and balancing circuit inside of it. I have had this circuit try to balance a dead cell. When this happens is heats up a lot. Mine did it just after a full overnight charge.

Might be that 'not selling to countries who already has a Hiroboimporter' deal that made them not reply.

Try explaining your problem, that you really needs those frames, also payment can be tricky, since they dont take creditcards.

Hopefully it solves in a for you, good way!

Try Waka-models in Japan. Hiroshi might have those parts in stock.

He has no website, but he has an email-address:

Thanks Mr Noodles, I guess that could be why they are not replying. But Ripmax in the UK doesnt stock these high end parts, and I'm not sure how long it will take to order.

I have taken the electronics out and there is further damage, and as the insurance company have said its ok, I now need to track down a new kit. As for price, well there isn't any comparison. Ripmax quote £2700 for the EAGLE3 kit, and ww.4fun.se are quoting £1800 ish. So with the cost of the electronics too the amount insured is £3000 so I need to find a kit that I can afford within that budget.

CyberHeli is definately worth a try, then don't always have Hirobo stuff in stock but I'm sure they can get it in and at a good price. If parts aren't in locally, it can take a couple of weeks.Vibe 90, Vibe 50, Vigor CS x2,
Dyna-x, Knight 503D, Logo 10,
TRex 500, Furion, Gaui EP200
