Hi,

I think the first number is amp rating (70A), and the two next the voltage range in terms of nicad cells (6-18 nicad cells). A 30-40 amp esc is more suitable for a trex, but it should not be a problem using this one - might be heavier than a 40 amp controller though...

The versions that came before Jazz where named Beat. There are different firmware versions on the Jazz controllers, but dont think there are any issues with earlier Jazz firmware versions.

What comes around goes around.
