Looking for anyone that has done, or knows someone, a Century 30 size Jet Stream fuse with hawk pro mechanics? Please....

Disappointed in it.. the Fuselage tail stops short of the end of the boom,,and it makes the rest look crap at least to me LOL
The mechanics fitted in with no mods (Hawk pro OS 32)
I did install some thin hardwood between the mechanic's and the floor of the fuse and cut an air opening in the bottom which i covered with a fine mesh and painted,,

the upper part of the screen/canopy was also a poor fit but with a bit of heat and patience I got it to fit

Can you trim your boom down? I just got my Long Ranger and put the Hawk Pro in it. I had to cut an inch off the tail boom and drive shaft. It was pretty simple. The drive shaft is very simple...the boom, you just have to make sure when you cut the notches in the end, that you get them straight so the tail rotor will align properly. It took me about 30 minutes to do and it was my first time. What muffler are you using? My stock muffler gets too clse to the inside of the fuse...so I am now using a TT muffler, longer and thinner, and works OK. It is still close but I think it will be just fine once I insulate the fuse sides.-----------------------

No you cant cut the boom down as the end of the fuse will not fit over the Tail rotor gearbox casing..
But either way I still prefer to see the gearbox under cover LOL
I just used the Century Exhaust which worked well enough although a bit on the noisy side.

Oh I see, thats right the jet stream doesn't have the tail cover piece like the Long Ranger. I just test hovered my Long Ranger today...all went well. The side of the fuse was pretty warm but it is not yet insulated. I will add that and see how it comes out before I paint. Only thing left to do is assemble and mount the horizontal fins. I am also going to take that P.O.S. JR tail servo out and put in a Futaba. That is the last time I try any more JR stuff when it comes to Tail servo's and Gyro's, in my opinion they're junk!-----------------------
