Very cool! Thanks for posting the link for the video. I'm definitely going to have to get one for around the house. I used to fly the T-Rex in the basement but it's too big for anything more than hovering about. That little thing is great. Cheap too!

You actually got to fly it outside in MH? Didn't the wind just pick it up and carry it off to Manitoba? LOL Always seems to be blowing like a bugger when I go through there.

Cheers, Shayne

I'd be more worried about the plasma screen than the heli. lol I had a little Cyclone that I used to fly around the living room and I think I damaged more furniture, etc than heli parts. That thing was invincible. Still fly it once in awhile.

i had one similar to that called the BladeRunner, i baught it used for $20, lol.
what a bugger to fly though with no aileron control and limited elevator. was fun t screw around with, but once i banged it up enough to make it un airworthy i took any good electronics out and scrapped it.

Herc, I did fly it outside here in MH, It was about 7:30 p.m. and there was no wind at all (hard to believe for this part of the planet). And Jameson, the wife and I have crashed the little bugger at least 20 times or more, it just keeps going. The blades are very flexible and I have yet to see any damage to the heli. You could bounce this thing off your nose and it might make you sneeze, if that.

I bought 2 today and this little heli is fun. I was at my club meeting and I brought this little heli with me and it sure stirred a bunch of the airplane guys. They all asked me where to buy it because they want one. I let most of them fly it and they liked it. That just goes to show that even though they say they don't like helis, they actually like it but just wish they can fly it. Well, now they can. This little heli scored some points for the heli guys at the club meeting!

So, if you don't have one yet, you don't know what you're missing!

There were 6 more left at one of the 6 Radio Shacks here in town (that was the only Radio Shack that carried it in stock). I wonder after tomorrow will be left.

Both my brother and I got one of these tonight at WalMart. They are so much fun. Takes no time at all to get flying it. I keep trying to use my left thumb for the rudder and right for cyclic. Getting the hang of it now and it's no problem. I think I'll spend some time on the sim before I go back out with the real deal though.

Best entertainment dollar I've spent in awhile.

Looks like an ABSOLUET BLAST for mucking about in the house lol

I do have a xrb lama though and its great

as you said it'd be a nightmare since the stick inputs are the same as the real deal!!!

and even worse for mode 1 pilots where the throttle is on the right stick!!!

someone needs to mod it into 1 stick for us mode 2 pilots, lol

or else yeah, we'll end up deckign our real things thinking we want to do a fast piro... and end up rolling the thing LOL

That proxflyer is definitely smaller by the looks of it. I'd say the WallyWorld one is about 5.5'' from memory. I'll measure it at lunch.

Go pick one up. It's a blast. My one dog just stares at the thing when it's buzzing around her head. I tried to land it on her back but she didn't care for that too much. The young pup hates it. It's actually quite controllable as long as you don't get any air currents or get it near a ceiling fan. The convection activity from lights that are on play with it a bit too if you fly over them.

haha, when i had my bladerunner, i messed around with the cats, one was always trying to attact it.
i also found out, that as you start getting close to the cieling, the heli will get "sucked" towards the roof. then i'd just leave the controlls and let it sit there grinding away at the roof till the battery died. once it lost enough power to start leaving the roof, it would lose its suction, and it would plummit like a rock. Fun times

That's funny about the ceiling. I noticed that too and was wondering why it all of sudden seems like it sucks up towards it. Happens quite quickly once you get a certain distance away.

I was buzzing around the g/f while she was at the kitchen table working on her laptop. She was just ignoring me until I went to turn away from her and she suffered a tail strike in the hair. Some of her hair got caught up on the t/r shaft and it just hung there like an earing. Had to spend 5 minutes getting rid of the hair and then I wasn't allowed to fly it for 1/2 an hour.
