Questions
Hi Folks:

I finally decided to just get a BCP Pro instead of trying to upgrade my Blade. Picked one up at the LHS this weekend. Flies great, but I noticed a couple of things.

1. On my BCP, I started getting lift around half throttle, on the Pro, I have to get to about 3/4. Also, I find I have to run the throttle pretty close to the top while flying around doing fast forward flight. Is this typical with this model?

2. The Rotary dial on the left is supposed to let you fine tune the pitch, but I can not detect any difference full - or full +. Is this normal? Upping the throttle trim only makes a negligible difference.

I think I may have to up my pitch mechanically a bit, but this motor doesn't seem to have the same punch as my old CP. Maybe it's still breaking in.

I plan to upgrade to Brushless and the HH Gyro shortly.

Thanks,
Lee

1. If you were using flat bottom blades with your old BCP then that might explain your different hover stick positions as the flat bottoms produce more lift than the symetricals that come with the BCPP - 3/4 stick is the proper hover position and inverted hover will be at 1/4 stick - Neutral pitch should be at 1/2 stick.

2. The rotary dial on the left is to adjust the mid point of the idle-up throttle curve - Not to adjust the pitch - I believe the throttle curve adjustment range is from 100-50-100 to 100-100-100.

You shouldn't need to try to increase the pitch range - If the blades are level and neutral at 1/2 stick then you should have proper pitch range as long as the linkages are properly adjusted.

I had the aerobatic kit with Semetrical Blades on the CP.

I'll have to go read that manual a bit closer I guess.

Cheers!
