Incredible CX - Damage Report
Showing off, I flew my CX too high for the wind conditions. It started drifting and I could hold position only with more and more throttle, of course going higher and higher. Then it started drifting...

It went high enough that I could no longer determine tail position. I gave it hard stick, in hopes to figure out which way it was pointing, and it fell from the sky (blade clash).

Best estimate is 200-300 feet. Several times higher higher than the 2 story houses and quite large pine trees looming over them.

I thought it was lost, and then we noticed a car avoiding something in the road. Sure enough, the little CX a couple of blocks down.

The canopy was shattered, I think it went nose in. Lower blades broken, top ones still in decent shape. Inner shaft bent, outer shaft bent, flybar looked like a pretzel. One frame standoff for the battery tray snapped.

A few minutes on the bench, and she flies as well as ever. Really amazing. I was surprised to find it, and even more surprised at how little damage it received. It fell at least 200 feet onto a concrete road.

Thats great news!

Similar thing happened to me with my CX

was flying in a park with hills around the edge wih houses on them.

I guess there was a different wind current about 20 feet up and it tool it away. I could not bring it back. Tried Dive bombing it back, etc but it kept going away..

I spent 30 mins looking for it in the fields, and my buddy just walks to me and says here it is! no damage except for a burnt out 4-in-1. Well I guess thats expensive damage.

they can take a beating. However thay can land innocently and do some major damage.. go figure

I think I'm ready for a more capable heli. The CX is largely indoors only. Planning to skip the CP and get a T-Rex.

I agree on the damage. I have broken nearly as much hovering in my living room!

I think the mx300 is a better choice than the trex from a size and cost point of view.. seems like it performs ALMOST as well but doesnt need so much space

Hmmm. I hardly hear anything about the mx300, and so much about the T-Rex. So the mx300 is like a mini-Rex, but bigger than a CP?

no its INDENTICAL in size to the blade CP.

Its basically a maxed out blade, but has no original blade parts, its its own kit from what I can tell..

I just like the idea of it better because it is the same size, so I can still fly it in same places as before.

I am not saying its better than the t-rex. Just that for the price, and size for me it seems like a better deal.

OK, I see. Part of the reason I wanted the Rex is due to the size, more stable than a CP, can handle the wind better, etc.

Does the mx300 have a tail motor? How does it compare to the CP Pro? Also I read somewhere that there is a new belt version of the CP coming out, that sounds interesting.
