All components on the x-spec come from the proven standard freya
and freya ex assortment of parts. The ex-spec can weigh as light
as 10.2 pounds that's half-pound lighter than the original!
YES.
Looked at your gallery, where is your X-Spec?

Enjoy the hobby.

Go with the Ex-spec. Don't get me wrong the Evo 90 is a
dam good bird, but I like somethings to be metal like the
rotorhead. I got a good deal for my bird so I could not say
no. With the cnc parts it flys better I think.

Enjoy the hobby.

Xspec with half carbon is more rigid than the standard frame of evo90. the weight is also lighter and the appearance is more appealing. the only difference with full carbon and half carbon is that the former is more expensive than the latter in terms of crashes.
in terms of flight characteristics I don't see any difference between the three. as long as you are happy with your Heli just fly it!!!

BY THE WAY YOU CAN GET AN X-SPEC WITH EVO HEAD!!!!

CNC parts are of course more reliable than the plastic but in terms of performance they are the same. I you have an extra bucks go for the upgrade.

The EVO head is 'better' IMO.
Bogs less, tracks fine and makes the heli more responsive.

I went from the XSpec head to a FFZ-III on my XSpec and I could spot a difference in performance.

Dont get me wrong, the XSpec is one nice machine, Im on my 2nd one, but with FFZ/SSZ-III heads.

The EVO weighs pretty much the same as a XSpec, mainly due to the new formula plastic I guess.

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

New upgrades. I saw this TV show bling my ride and I think
it is so kool what they can do too a car. So now I have this
Idea to do the same to my X-Spec. From time to time I will
upgrade my X-spec with something new like these mixing arms.

Enjoy the hobby.

I see plastic
Is that a plastic canopy I see? Surely a fiberglass canopy with paint would be better!

Are those stock plastic paddles I see? Surely carbon paddles would be better!

Do I see plastic landing struts? Surely carbon struts would match the carbon lower frames and save some weight!

I still love my Xspec after flying it for three years...in stock form....

Somebody was talking about the head button and looking for the website that had the nice ones. Here it is... http://www.dreamrcheli.com/index.html. Their work is high quality and I've got one on my Tempest and my Rex (yep...a VERY VERY tiny head button just like one on the Tempest). Good product.Ralph W.

Shiro>> Nice heli pics. Is that yellow bird the MAXUM? Wow, gasser! Your X-Spec Chopsueyer looks sweet!

I think the CNC parts perform better than the plastic ones. Try a heli with plastic swashplate, wash-out assembly and plastic head. Then slowly change/upgrade to metal swashplate, then wash-out then finally the head. You'll really notice the difference in flight, esp. when you do F3C. Its kinda like when I switched from 9CHP to the 12ZH

One thing I didn't like with the SSR-VII is that there's no button head. And many times I get static electricity jumping from the head to my hand when I try to stop the blades to pick-up the heli

New upgrades. I am really having fun doing this, Well the
new upgrades are the EX washout control arms. There are a
few more things I plan on doing to the x-spec.
