Comments on my new servo's gyro please!
I just bought some stuff from ebay. Does anyone used this stuff already? I have just a shuttle plus so I don't give big money for pro-servo's or gyro. I can do little 3D with it now but the servo's don't have enough power and that don't makes it easy!
Also I did not had a heading lock gyro before!

This is the gyro:

And these are my 5 new servo's:

Thanks

Ok I heard that sometimes they don't work out of the box.
But for that price I don't care.
I orderen 5 servo's, if 4 of them are working I'm happy.

Hi Tim

What is inside is a rather poor copy (electronically) of the ICG360 gyro. Unfortunately this design requires a temperature calibration process that takes about 5 hours in an environmental chamber which, of course, you don't get for that kind of money. However, you will probably have more success in setting it up if you follow the instructions for the ICG360 (which you will still find as a PDF on the rcmodels.org/csm website) rather than the instructions that come with it that are intended, I think, only to lend additional weight to the idea that its a 401.

Enjoy!

Best regards

I don't need the best of the best since I only have an old shuttle plus! I don't need such a strong servo, if it only has 9Kg/cm² instead of 13 I'm happy.

What I'm worried about is, will it keep working ? When I'm flying inverted and a servo stops functioning, thats a big problem !

You should think about it . That old bird you have may not get any older if you continue buying stuff like that ! This is a heli not a RC car when it breaks at 150 feet up it makes a nice little hole in the ground . The RC car you just let it stop . You can't go cheap on a heli ! Cheap = Crash I wish you luck and it may turn out that those servos may outlast the motor on your bird . Happy Flying .Scott Sr. ><> ****Support Our Troops**** ><>

True true

But I want to buy a raptor 50 for 6 months already.
BUT... I always said ... as long as I don't crash my shuttle I don't buy another heli!
So If I make a crash due to this cheap servo's then I have a rappie 50 soon

So that's not a problem for me

Thats some strange thinking you have buddy.

If you don't know how to fly, I would advice you to use the Shuttle as its more stable than the raptor. Its cheaper to fly (OS32) and the parts are everywhere and cheap.

Get yourself a nice 401 gyro from the clasifieds.

Btw, if you need some help with your Shuttle, I am in Brussels

I know how to fly a heli, I'm flying my shuttle for more then 6 months already. Flying in realflight g3 for more then a year! It's stable ... ok ... but not with the crappy gyro I have now. A raptor is more stable then a shuttle (with same electronics installed). The problem is that the shuttle is a 30 size heli and it does not have enough power to do 3D. Can fly inverted with it, ok, but I cant do tictocs and all that stuff.

That's why I need a 50size heli.

I just want to know if those electronics I ordered will keep working. I don't want them to fail after 1 of a few flights. But it seems like noöne here used them before. So I'll give it a try and we'll see.
If I crash I'll post some nice pics here

Get an OS37 with a MP2 exhaust. Trust me, you'll have enough power to try almost everything.
