Wanted: Competitor Flybar Mixing Levers
Anyone have a set of the Yale aftermarket mixing levers that increase the collective throw? I had modified the stock ones by drilling and tapping the side of the ball and putting a ball there, but I lost one in my last crash. It was a pain to do, and I am trying to take the easy way out. So if you happen to have some laying around, I will buy them from you.

Thanks
Alan Angus

A possible Substitute...
Hi Alan,

You might try to locate some of the mixing levers Hirobo used in their Falcon 888. The entire seesaw unit is built from separate pieces to resemble the older cast aluminum seesaw. This seesaw used flat bars as the lever proper with the balls screwed to the side of the bar. The axis of motion allowed almost unlimited cyclic and collective travel.

I've not seen the Yale (or do you mean Tech Specialties) levers but I'll bet they're identical in design to the factory Hirobo 888 parts. I can provide a picture of my 888 head if you want to verify the lever's design.

Steve:
They may have been Tech Specialties. I have never seen them, someone told me about them. I would love a pic of your head. What you are describing is exactly what I am looking for. You would not have a spare set would you? please send pic to gmpheli@juno.com

Thanks

Pictures Sent
Hi Alan,

I sent some close-up shots of the arms. I bet someone has some of these as extras they'd be willing to part with. I _may_ have spares but if I do they're buried in boxes somewhere. Happy hunting!

Oh, almost forgot - Hirobo/GMP offered two versions of the mixing arms most people are familiar with. The location of the inner ball could be either closer to the ball that connected to the swashplate (more collective) or the ball could be closer to the arm's pivot point (less collective). those ball positions correspond to the same ball locations on the ball bearing levers. The pictures I send have the inner ball in the "greater collective pitch" location. See how this compares with your arms.
