well unless you have already changed all the electronics you won't be using any radio soon. Good luck with getting it to stay any the air any amount of time? and if you have not already you should invest in good simulator.Carpe Diem!!!

Don't know if a Futaba would work. I tried changing the crystals in my 22e, and the receiver wouldn't listen to the tx. It is very doubtful that the rx in the 22e will work with Futata crystals.

On a side note, the previous post is quite accurate. My electronics decided they wasn't going to listen to my tx. Consiquently the heli did a kamikazi into the ground. Needless to say, it went straight into the bin

If you are serious about this hobby, don't bother with the 22e, it will destroy your confidence and cause you to give up on the hobby.
Just my 0.02$ worth

I notice you are in England ginger, pm me, I have some spares for the 22e 2 sets of main blades, tail blade, a few other bit an bobs, links I think and such like. All stuff you ARE going to need

I JUST BOUGHT A 22E AND THEN I FOUND THIS WEB SITE. I'M GETTING THE FEELING NO ONE LIKES WALKRA. THAT'S MY LUCK! I WOULD BE INTRESTED IN EXTRA PARTS IF ANYONE HAS ANYTHING. I AM A BEGINNER AS YOU CAN TELL BY ME BUYING THE WALKRA. I BOUGHT IT OFF EBAY THINKING I WOULD BE OK BECAUSE I SEEN A BUNCH OF PARTS AND UPGRADES. THEY LOOK VERY NICE AS DO MANY OTHERS. {IE TREX} I DON'T HAVE 500 BUCKS FOR THE TREX AND THOUGHT THAT WALKRA WAS A GOOD BRAND. AS ALWAYS I'M S.O.L. IF THERE IS ANYONE IN ONTARIO CANADA I COULD USE SOME TIPS AND OR HELP. WISEGUY3@SSYMPATICO.CA

Wiseguy, I just shiped my parts to ginger, sorry mate.

As for the 22e, I DID have mine hovering, albeit for only a few seconds at a time, so it CAN be flown. The problem I had, and most other people, is the electrics. They just decide not to work anymore, and then you're stuffed. Mine just drifted in a lazy left circle, and nothing I did on the tx had any effect. In the end I jumped out the way and had to let it crash.
My mate Chris had it hovering lovely over the flying field, so I saw it hover at least It was a bit unstable, but it WAS up in the air for a whole battery pack.

If you take it nice and slow, one step at a time, and get plenty of sim practice, you can fly it.

Walkera is not the good quality products. If you got one already, then just be aware the temperature - over heat will damage the motor and the electronics.
