Help with a roto pod
What have you used for the stick portion of the Roto-pod?
I have used oak and birch dowells and after a day of flying they get soaked with oil and break easily.
Anybody got any suggestions?
I thought about fiberglass rods but they would be really heavy.

When I got my roto-pod, I spray painted the wood dowells with tremclad paint in a colour to match my canopy and they lasted for as long as I used the pod (which looking back was too long). Just made sure it got wiped clean at the end of the day when I cleaned the heli.

When I got mine (new) it has cf legs . Did you both get yours used ? I bet you could go to LHS and get the same diameter CF and replace those dowels and get better service out of your roto-pod .Scott Sr. ><> ****Support Our Troops**** ><>

Might check with your LHS, or online, to see if you can get just the CF legs. I know one of the stores here sells a 4 pack of just the legs for around $15.00.Turn it and burn it, to learn it!
